A subsidiary of Precision Cast Parts which is a division of Berkshire Hathaway Company

Health and Safety Manager- Oversee and manage all aspects safety compliance and solicit proposals in managing all projects as they pertain to “Building a Better Workplace”.

Audited the facility for EHS compliance and the overall renovation of the facility to address areas of improvement. These identified projects led to submitting a 730k capital line items spreadheet to senior management which were all subsequently approved.

ISOLATEK INTERNATIONAL – Stanhope, New Jersey December 2013 to July 2018

Recognized as the world’s leading single source manufacturer, with a comprehensive range of fireproofing materials used for steel and concrete construction in Passive Fire Protection. Company encompasses five domestic facilities and European suppliers and clients in the manufacture of applied fire-resistant materials, rigid board, primer sealer, and topcoats certified by world renowned expert agencies.

Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Manager- Oversaw and managed all EHS areas for headquarters site in NJ as well as the five domestic sites in IN, MA, TX, PA, and CA in providing guidance and leadership in terms of EHS policies, procedures, training, permitting, and overall environmental compliance.

Implemented Arc Flash analysis NFPA-70E for all six facilities in just under four months.

Managed all activities related to the approval and insertion of 365 LOTO sop’s in four manufacturing plants.

Quarterly audit each of the affiliated wet-mix plants as well as the mineral wool plant in Huntington, IN for compliance. Track findings with plant manager to closure. Submitted detailed “gap analysis” and corrective action report to senior management.

Coordinated and conducted two 12-hour IAQ monitoring tests on two vermiculite ores (Brazilian and Palabora) to determine potential employee exposure to respirable, total dust, and crystalline silica exposure. Annually coordinated IAQ and Medical Surveillance programs at each of the sites to ensure all personnel were approved to wear personal protective equipment.

Implemented Non-Exposure Certifications (NEC) electronic programs in TX (STEERS) and CA (SMARTS) to reduce monitoring sampling and testing expenses.

Coordinated efforts to have all sites perform TIER II and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) assessments for reporting applicability.

Implemented robust electronic GHS and SDS database for five facilities utilizing the JJ Keller software system.

SAINT BARNABAS HOSPITAL – Bronx, New York January 2012- to October 2013 Major hospital provider which includes Level 1 Trauma Center, Nursing Home, Hemo Dialysis, Ambulatory Center, and various subsidiary clinics serving the greater Bronx area as well as northern New Jersey. Hospital employs nearly 3k personnel with 600+ beds and sees an average of over 2k patients per week.

Safety Director- Oversaw and managed all aspects of safety and environmental affairs for seven hospital building structures as well as eight affiliated facilities including the Methadone clinic, Dialysis Center, and medical clinic in and around the area. Manage all components of safety & health and environmental affairs. This would include being appointed as the chairman of the Environment of Care Committee encompassing all departments’ heads reporting out to the EOCC chair. EHS liaison for regulatory groups including the JCO, UHO, CMS, NYDOHMH, OSHA, EPA, NYDEP and NYDEC and management of fire suppression systems as the Fire Safety Director. Management of all hazardous waste including medical encompassing sharps and chemo, lab packs, and solid and liquid waste. Assistant Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). Trainer for all personnel in matters of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Fire disciplines.

As chair of the EOCe Committee, was credited with “ZERO” non-compliances in February 2013 Joint Commission review. Direct report (JCO surveyor) stated this was unprecedented – Prior inspection uncovered 53 non-compliances in 2000.

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager—CNBC Division

Directed EHS Coordinator and 17 Safety Management Process Owners in all aspects of environmental, health & safety (EHS) as well as fire, medical compliance, and continuity programs division-wide with operations throughout the U.S., encompassing multiple station brands and affiliates.
