I’m a career accountant with a strong background in manufacturing operations, corporate finance, procurement, cost accounting, inventory control, budgeting, and full charge bookkeeping. My career began in the food industry after earning my Associate’s Degree. My experience includes hands-on and supervisory roles in food manufacturing and distribution, textile manufacturing, project management in implementing common software processes, common software, and teaching sound methods to users who provide quality information to management. I enjoy working with IT to configure and install software, including software updates and the development of reporting tools. My primary career has been in industry as a corporate controller responsible for treasury functions, credit, costing, and inventory control. Prior experiences include ERP installations in garment manufacturing, and in the processed and prepared food industry. Proficient in MS Dynamics, BPCS Mfg. ERP, Quickbooks Pro, and MS Office. I consider myself a self-starter; a good teacher, a good communicator, and a finisher who takes pride in making improvements that utilize user skills to improve profitability.

Responsible for all treasury functions including ABL and revolving credit support and reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable management, and improving legacy systems for accuracy in product costing including bill-of-materials and inventory reporting. Responsible for credit management and process improvements in procurement, inventory, and accounting. Directed efforts and streamlined processes to reduce monthly close from 20 days to 7 days. Procurement and Inventory Control – Fabrics & Yarns Mar 2012 – Jan 2016

Provided consulting support to local management and liaison to Corporate IT (Nova Scotia, CN) to build and implement a yarn and fabric tracking system (AS400) that included a fully loaded bill-of-material for contract knitting and fabric finishing. The system was designed to give
visibility to all stages of the knit to cut and sew consumption of fabric, including fabric inventory by lot.

Hired by Longworth in 2015 due to the loss of a key employee. Assumed responsibility for purchasing, contracting materials, and focused on developing accounting processes for inventory costing and tracking.
Directed the IT team in building reports for fabric tracking, purchase commitments, and multiple location reporting of greige and finished fabric. Used Quickbooks to value inventory and track inventory movement; then used the model to get programs done on the company AS400 platform.
