LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/josh-wingard/0/879/691 Dear Hiring Manager,

I am confident that my 20 years of IT and leadership experience will benefit your Firm and your clients. I look forward to a brief conversation in the very near future. Below is a brief synopsis of my experiences. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

As the Area Director of Branch Services at World Wide Technology, I managed 50+ IT professionals and ~20 client programs. Our average client engagement runs 6-12 months and encompasses 100-1000 branch and campus locations. We cover the full life cycle of the program and offer fully managed maintenance and monitoring as an option at the end. We have some of the largest companies in the world as our clients that trust us for both domestic and international deployment.

At GCI I managed IT engineers, project managers, practice directors, and pre-sales engineers. We delivered design, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco ACI, UC&C, Security, and Network environments. Our customers included members of the Fortune 500, major healthcare providers, philanthropic enterprises, and local sports teams. At AT&T I was the Director of Solutions, Strategy, and Innovation for their top retail clients. The book of business I supported was between $110M and $330M. I would advise customers on how AT&T’s 800 products, 400 partners, and 1100 patents a year could drive the customer’s business and IT strategy. I worked on AT&T’s SDN Taskforce and helped to introduce AT&T’s own SDN platform and/or VeloCloud partnership to customers to leverage the key fiscal and technology benefits they had to offer. Focus areas included cloud adoption and migration to Azure or AWS, enterprise mobility management, IoT, and Security.

At AXA I was responsible for managing ~150 IT professionals and consultants from all around the world. Our organization delivered ~600 IT projects and programs per year and had to manage a 170M€ budget. We were tasked to hit the most aggressive P&L reduction targets ever set by the business. Through teamwork and execution of our strategy, we exceeded the targets by ~20%.

At Merrill Lynch I was hired as a consultant for their Global Wealth and Investment Management IT team in 2006. In 2008, I accepted an employee and management position to run a team of 35 domestic and international employees and consultants. We focused on performance engineering, application profiling, end-user-experience analytics, traditional network, security, infrastructure, and application maintenance, along with other core infrastructure connections. Our team supported the Wealth Management Workstation applications that Financial Analysts used to manage $2T in client assets. At Lehman Brothers I started out running patch cords in LAN closets and “fluking” network ports. I studied constantly to improve my skills, and through hard work and hands on experience, I passed 23 Cisco exams within 3 years and had qualified for multiple certifications. I shared my knowledge and experience with others, and taught CCNA and CCNP classes to over 70 of my fellow colleagues. I was teaching one of these classes on September 11th 2001, on the 40th floor of 1 World Trade Center, when the plane struck the building and the worst terrorist attack in United States history unfolded. Just a few days later, I was asked to manage 20 network engineers to rebuild Lehman’s network at the new global headquarters in Times Square. The task was massive and many nights we slept under our desks, but we completed the project on time and on budget.

As you can see, I have had an expansive and diverse career – something I never would have imagined when I started consulting for a software engineering Firm in 1999. In addition to consulting, I have been a field technician, network engineer, network architect, account strategist, program and project manager, change manager, network operations manager, presales subject matter expert, sales support and overlay, technology liaison, manager, Senior Manager, Vice President, Director, and Managing Director. I believe as we discuss opportunities, you will see that I am passionate, knowledgeable, committed, and dedicated to delivering results across a swath of roles, needs, and functions of your organization.

I look forward to talking to you soon and thank you again for your time and consideration. Sincerely,

Josh Wingard

I met Josh Wingard approximately 6 months ago during an interview process for a senior management role at an international network integration services company. I was a member of the interview team responsible for identifying and selecting candidates capable of leading an organization in transition from a start-up mode to a more mature business entity. Josh was selected for this role based in part on his work experience, management philosophy, and proven ability to engage teams to attain high quality production. I strongly believe that Josh exhibits these characteristics and have witnessed the manifestation of these skills. Josh Wingard also reflects a high level of professionalism in his thoughtful approach to the business, pursuit of timely completion of tasks, and treatment of his peers. Josh and I were Director-level peers for the same Vice President and although we had different areas of responsibility we communicated several times each week. I have witnessed Josh to show nothing but the highest level of respect for those around him, a determined focus on the task at hand, and pursuit of excellence in his production and messaging. Josh was able to quickly identify core challenges, establish plans, align resources and pursue with a focus that was both appropriate to the situation and reflected the desire of his heart. Josh worked hard to understand the business model of the company, researching the environment, seeking out knowledge and teaming with other senior managers to understand and accomplish the tasks at hand. He was always courteous, engaging, and thoughtful in his leadership style, and leveraged these characteristics to build his team on a day to day basis.

I believe you will find Josh to be an asset to a growing organization that is need of foundational structure, detailed planning, and metric driven production. Josh strives to reflect those standards that a top tier business would hold as a high bar, including professional behavior, loyalty, integrity, pursuit of excellence, and the development of people.

Josh’s learned, and natural skill set will set him apart as a leader and he will pursue the goals at hand with a dogged determination. I do believe that Josh is a value-add to a senior leadership team in need of the establishment of fundamental of senior leadership skills and will push himself and everyone around him to the levels of excellence.

Josh has been on our West Region Principal Architect (PA) / Director of Strategy and Innovation (DSI) team for several years. Prior to this position, Josh held the DSI role on the East Coast supporting large financial institutions. Josh currently supports six important accounts: Albertsons/Safeway, Amazon, Nike, Nordstrom, Weyerhaeuser and XPO Logistics, all of which are well known names in their respective verticals. During this period, I have witnessed Josh using his prior experience as a technical individual, technical staff manager, operations manager and project analysis to successfully service our accounts in a presales capacity. Josh is the primary individual responsible for developing AT&T’s technical development strategy, solutions development and positioning AT&T’s services to each assigned customers’ technical maturity model. Although the DSI role requires technical breadth, Josh is also very aggressive in gaining new customer contacts, capturing new meetings with important net-new contacts / decision-makers and articulating the AT&T value proposition to earn the right to jointly create solutions with his customers. Perhaps the best references originate from the sales leaders Josh currently supports that Josh undoubtedly has received, so I won’t repeat specific customer interactions here. Rather, I will embellish on a primary example of Josh’s ability to innovate to create game-changing customer solution, being a secure shipping box solution Josh is joint-developing with partners. Amazon is attempting to create a dedicated receiving shipment capability for multi-tenant residences and strip malls. Josh quickly realized that Amazon’s service approach left a gap: Amazon’s box would only be dedicated to Amazon, and that an agnostic secure shipping box would have far greater appeal if all shippers and retailers could rent access on a per-use or flat fee basis. Josh’s approach is to create a multi-use AT&T/IoT-enabled lockable box to receive shipments that all logistics providers and retailers can jointly use. The better economics and wider appeal will allow even single family residences to have one IoT-enabled lockable box installed on front porches or next to postal boxes. We also envision the box to be

“drone friendly” so that as drones inevitably encroach upon delivery of parcels the receiving container will enhance drone use. A dedicated secure box use case was also crafted so that restaurants and coffee shop chains could receive perishable shipments in peak morning business hours without the need to distract staff from serving customers. Although this idea is in its early stages, the idea has been very positively received by multiple AT&T enterprise customers.

In addition to a demanding schedule, Josh excels in individual development is often first on the team to sign up for SIP, cloud, network and security studies. Josh remains committed to keeping up with the latest industry trends.

Respectfully,

Matthew Stoen

November 1, 2016

My name is Gunner Croy and I am a Sales Director supporting the AT&T Enterprise accounts, Microsoft and Amazon. Combined, these accounts contribute over $165M of annual revenue. Josh has been our Director of Strategy and Innovation since I took over the Amazon account in late 2015. The role Josh has requires a complex set of skills and proficiencies in order to maximize the value of AT&T to the customer and to drive meaningful, long-term, tangible opportunities to the account team. Josh has a combination of leadership, business, technical, and project management skills that helped drive substantial year-over-year revenue results in our Amazon account.

One opportunity Josh created for us involved leveraging our world-class Mobility Lab in Redmond, WA for the Amazon Web Services device testing and development team. This was a multi-year, multi-million dollar opportunity. Josh developed the client relationships, design, solution, and potential revenue projections for both AT&T and Amazon. This required Josh to work with subject matter experts from our Lab, network integration, and consulting organization along with Amazon’s contracting and design teams. This is just one example of how Josh looked at our existing AT&T assets and services and was able to creatively propose a unique solution to Amazon’s specific needs. Amazon is a very unique company because they have so many diverse lines of business. They are a content provider, ecommerce retailer, shipping/logistics company, grocery store, auction house, cloud service provider, and more. Josh has helped to develop unique proposals that have the potential for millions in new revenue for our account team and our Firm. His solutions targeted multiple lines of Amazon’s business and had domestic and international potential. Many of these ideas have been accepted by our senior leadership and undoubtedly will be investigated by the newly announced Amazon/AT&T Alliance.

Josh brings a passion and energy to the team that is second to none. He is a self-starter and is always motivated. His past experiences as a global enterprise leader are evident in the way he communicates and presents to customers. He builds consensus and buy-in from customers and internal teams in a way that makes people feel connected and motivated to deliver. He presents the business value of technology and clearly shows what indecision or delay means in terms of revenue or cost.

Josh has the ability to run an entire enterprise IT organization, and it is evident as you witness him in action. Any company or organization that hires him will benefit, as will their customers. He is an excellent leader and professional. Sincerely,

Gunner Croy

Burt Rudnick

Sales Director

Global Business – Enterprise Sales

ac8b1p@r.postjobfree.com

415-***-****

My name is Burt Rudnick and I’m a Sales Director supporting 4 Enterprise accounts that contribute ~$110M in annual revenue AT&T’s Global Business, Enterprise Sales, Western Region. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Josh Wingard as our Director of Strategy and Innovation this calendar year 2016 in support of the Albertsons/Safeway account. Josh’s role requires him to align AT&T and customer technical strategies to drive innovative win/win solutions that create business efficiencies for our clients while earning revenue for AT&T.

Josh’s balance of sales business and operational acumen are unique and set him apart from many other technical resources I’ve worked with in my career. Josh ambitiously cold calls client executives, creating new relationships and generating innovative new ideas on how our companies can best partner. Josh has client side experience as he held positions as an IT leader before coming to AT&T. This prior experience allows Josh to connect with customers, backing up his ideas with real world experience because he understands the challenges client decision makers face.

Josh cold called the VP of Fleet Operations at Albertsons and quickly built rapport and earned his time. Josh is working to generate conversations around best practices with this VP’s peers at AT&T to spur opportunities to propose lucrative Fleet Operations and Work Force Management solutions. Josh is working with a Business Unit of Albertsons called United Supermarkets based in Texas, to modernize their WAN technologies and help them navigate contact center voice transformation from TDM to SIP technologies. In working on future state designs with the customer, Josh uncovered ancillary revenue-generating Metropolitan Area Networking and hosting co-location solutions that the customer is excited about. Most importantly, Josh has a winning attitude and endears himself to internal and external teams alike. Josh never declines a request for help and is generous with his time, always making himself available for brainstorming and collaboration. Josh is very creative and not afraid to step outside his defined role to get things done, support his teammates internally, and to address external customer issues. Josh conceived an innovative idea to create next generation secure boxes. The boxes aren’t a product in our portfolio today but they could improve delivery success rates for shippers and conversion and time to market times for retail outfits, while pulling through IoT gross adds for AT&T. Josh built a business case and integrated internal teams with third parties who would have a role in fulfilling the capability and began creating external demand with his customers. This was a great example of Josh building consensus between teams to lead innovation and realize new capabilities.

Josh is a self starter and a motivated team player. He will be an asset to any department who is fortunate enough to have available headcount for him. I am positive that he can adapt to any technical, sales, consulting or operations job. He will complement and produce results and strengthen the team with his knowledge, experience, and interpersonal skills.

Sincerely,

Burt Rudnick

Client Director

Global Business – Enterprise Sales

503-***-****

I am writing to you to highly recommend Josh Wingard. As a Client Director at AT&T, I am responsible for a book of business in excess of $70 Million in annual revenues. This book of business is unique as it comes from a module of accounts that consist of a high level of retention business. Selling into these accounts has historically been based on retaining the existing business and incrementally growing that business. The game changed when Josh was brought into our account base. In 2015 Josh was instrumental in developing new opportunities by starting discussions with the leaders of my account base. He leveraged his knowledge and experience from having come from the customer’s side of the business. Josh used his industry knowledge to establish a direct rapport with my account base and quickly became a trusted partner. This role of a trusted partner was quickly duplicated within these organizations at their various business units. Josh was able to insert himself into the role of thought leadership at multiple levels within my account base. This positioning opened up additional doors, which opened up new conversations that developed into new opportunities for both AT&T and the client. Josh was crucial in the success of my team and my module in 2015 and 2016. At the closing of 2015 my team was in multilayer discussions with my top accounts regarding next generation network design and how it would facilitate their businesses. Josh was able to take a winning approach in the discussion evangelizing and aligning AT&T’s vision with my clients. This led the customers to adopt AT&T as their partner moving forward and road mapping to the client’s 2020 vision. This collaborative brand approach was enhanced as Josh spoke with my clients’ executives and tied together their business requirements, ROI, TCO and technology model requirements. This method of providing leadership at our accounts enabled us to close several large multiyear Mobility and Wire-Line contracts. Case in point we grew the account revenue by double digits. This is further leading to deeper discussion with the same clients in the strategic areas of Voice Transformation, SDN, NFV, Flexware (uCPE) and mobility integration through UC&C. I am convinced that with Josh’s partnership these opportunities as well as many other opportunities will lead to long-term operational excellence for our clients and consistent revenue generation for AT&T. In 2016 we had our largest wins, landing a fortune 100 company that has adopted our MPLS and Mobility vision. This has put us in a place to now lay out our SD WAN and Flexware solutions that will give us the platform to grow the businesses in these strategic areas for the next 5 years.

If you choose to add Josh Wingard to your team, be prepared to see results, which not only will add to your bottom line now, but will add to it for years to come. Sincerely,

Rod Conduragis
