Appointed Assurance, Interface & Risk (AIR) Manager for Major Capital project to install a gasoline clean fuels facility and a cogeneration plant (“Mogas/Cogen”) at the refinery on Jurong Island. The total project cost is in excess of US$500 million. This investment adds new facilities to the existing refinery, including a Gasoline Desulphurization Unit, an Amine Treating Unit, a Heavy Naphtha Splitter and Cogeneration Units.
As AIR Manager I was responsible for providing overall management and leadership direction for development and deployment of key project management assurance practices, risk management, change management, Interface and management of lessons learned.

Roles Included:
Manages a comprehensive project-wide Interface Management Plan for internal and external interfaces, including NOC and JV partners and projects with significant scope and complexity.
Responsible for development and implementation of a project-wide Risk Management Plan including processes and procedures to identify and assess risk, develop mitigation strategies and track mitigating actions, and communicate progress to the project’s stakeholders. Integrates all project risk elements including HES, Subsurface, D&C, cost, schedule, etc…
Responsible for development and implementation of a comprehensive project Assurance Plan, including NOC and JV partners and projects with significant scope and complexity

Bio:
Wayne is a Project Management specialist having cultivated a real passion for excellence in delivery of Major Capital Projects over 25 years.
Beginning his journey down the path of engineering and projects at NASA’s Stennis Space Center as a student engineer, Wayne developed an appreciation for world class organizations and the challenges they face. Joining ExxonMobil Chemical in Baton Rouge in 1998, and later moving to their Baytown Texas facility continued to gain exposure to the constantly evolving industry leading processes, work practices and tools.
First in Asia in 2007, Wayne worked on ExxonMobil’s multi-Billion dollar venture the Singapore Parallel Train project. This opportunity provided a wealth of challenges and learning opportunities. Moving on to work for Singapore Refining Company in 2012 Wayne realized his zeal for contributing in the key areas of Risk Management, Interface Management and the importance of Organizational Capability.
