Work with a wide variety of architectural partners, independent contractors, and individual and corporate clients across residential and commercial projects, including tenant improvements, change of use, new construction, and remodels. Experienced in mixed-use, multi-unit, high-end, and affordable housing projects. Create architectural, structural, and fire protection working drawings using AutoCAD. Perform space planning and interior design. Maintain compliance with applicable codes and requirements. Expedite permits for violations, variances, appeals, and special conditions, and change and upgrade occupancy classifications as needed. Coordinate between owners, architects, and engineers to align expectations, and proactively mitigate issues and setbacks. Manage project budgets, timelines, documents, and resources. Consistently provide clients with cost-effective solutions to diverse business needs.

Selected Projects:

Worked with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Design/Construct Management team as a transition replacement for a retiring architect to design an x-ray laboratory and perform inspections (San Francisco, CA).

Evaluated plans, cost estimates, scopes of work, and specifications prior to execution for a multi-story office building complex. Prepared detailed quantity take-offs, monitored construction schedules using PERT/CPM and bar charts, and inspected material deliveries. Reviewed contractor agreements, processed payments and bills, and coordinated with suppliers (Manila, Philippines).

Selected Remodels:

Managed a commercial space rear addition and the conversion of two stories above it into two units. Oversaw the city planning variance and conditional use for exemption from parking and open space requirements (San Francisco, CA).

Converted a low ceiling garage space into a functional commercial space by raising the building three feet from its foundation, and remodeling two upper units above (San Francisco, CA).

Designed a 2,357-square foot, three-story residential addition with a redesigned facade to comply with owners’ requests and city planning guidelines. Met with opposing neighbors and represented the owner at the Discretionary Review with the Planning Commission (Jabber, San Francisco, CA).
