April 2012, promotion to assistant unit supervisor. In addition to performing patient care, acted as daily charge nurse, performed patient rounding, surveyed patient standards of care, scheduling and staffing, payroll, quality control measures and assisting staff with any patient care required.
October 2013 transitioned to outpatient hematology-oncology office. Established a direct working relationship with multiple physicians; acquiring and completing patient records, performing complete history and physical with physical assessment, and designed and implemented patient care plans. Performed as patient care liaison coordinating care across multiple disciplines, directing preventative care measures, performing patient education, and obtaining insurance and medication authorizations. Quality performance included maintenance of meaningful use and quality metrics, and utilization of electronic medical record. Skills include venous and Medi-port access.
