Engineering/Research & Development Intern - Essential Medical, Exton, PA May - August 2018
Assembled and manufactured devices in clean room in accordance to regulatory guidelines and FDA established protocols, and assisted in lot release and quality control inspections
Conducted research and laboratory experiments, analyzed and recorded data, made detailed observations, performed computations, and reported results
Collaborated with Senior Engineers to improve the design of the MANTA puncture closure device during FDA trial phase
Assisted with the testing, and deployment of femoral arterial closure devices, determined failure methods, investigated design changes, and built and tested prototypes in physiological laboratory
Developed new protocol for porosity testing, updated user instructions for device manufacturing and part pulling, wrote reports regarding protocols and experiment testing
Performed biomaterials and interventional cardiology research and presented findings
Dissected porcine hearts to isolate the aorta and vena cava for testing and performed troubleshooting
