PROJECTS :
1.) MI N I PROJECT : Portable refrigerator
Refrigerator is a appliance for everyday use in both households and industries. Most of these works on vapor-compression cycle, which use CFC based refrigerants to cool the enclosed space. More or less all these refrigerants all global-warming agents. Thus we focused on searching an alternative and eco- friendly cooling system. Peltier cooling is one of them, It's free from refrigerants, portable, and can be used as alternative of conventional cooling. Our project aims to design and fabricate such a refrigeration system using peltier cooling. In this project, we successfully created a temperature difference of 9.2 C using two peltier module in parallel. With some modifications, this system could find it's application in case of power failure, or where AC supply is not available to use conventional refrigeration. 2.) MAIN PROJECT: Industrial Project – NLC INDIA LIMTED TITLE: Development and Analysis of safe load indicator used in cranes. A Safe Load Indicator (SLI) or Load Moment Indicator (LMI) is a device which is installed on mobile or portable cranes to alert the operator if the lift is exceeding the safe operating range of the machinery. Some cases, the device will physically lock the machinery in circumstances it determines to be unsafe. Digital SLI systems are usually composed of a microprocessor connected to various sensors on the crane itself. The SLI measures the angle and extension of the boom along with the load weight and compares this with the manufacturer's specifications to determine if the lift is safe. A safe load indicator has the capability of detecting the Boom angle Boom length, weight of load lifted and the maximum weight can able to be lifted. It controls the lifting equipment to the level that it tries to keep the machinery functioning as per the manufacturer's suggested safety charts. The crane is fitted with multiple sensors, for each of the measurable parameters, which are then further displayed in the operator's cabin for his benefit. In Ace Crane and Escort crane safe load indicated at the hooks fitted on the boom at various locations. For C-Cranes safe load Load chart is available in the operator cabin. In Telescopic cranes Safe Load is Indicated in Digital Type.
In this project we analysed about the crane functions and different circuits of cranes and We developed an idea to implement Digital type Safe Load Indictor in C-Cranes by few Modulations. By implementing the safe load indicators in c-crane the accidents and damages will be avoided. The C-crane production in the mines will be get higher. AREA OF INTEREST:
