Drill-Powered Vehicle - Cal Poly January 2019 – March 2019 Built a scooter powered solely by an 18V cordless electric drill. Foot Support Taping Device for Off-Loading Wounds – Cal Poly September 2018 – March 2019 Built a device made of taping and padding that off-loads the pressure on a diabetic foot ulcer by at least 40%, while still providing easy access to the wound for cleaning and allow for normal gait. Easy to Fold Walker - Medical Design Club October 2017 – June 2018 Designed a walker that includes a detachable cane and folds easily for easy storage and transportation. Water Distillation System - Engineering World Health September 2017 – February 2018 Designed an affordable water distillation system using a pressure cooker that can be used by third world countries.
Quarterly Design Project - Quality of Life Plus at Cal Poly April 2017 – June 2017 Our group designed and prototyped an affordable and easy to use lower-extremity prosthetic attachment that assists a user in performing the activity of slacklinning. Built a myoelectric arm - Quality of Life Plus at Cal Poly January 2017 – March 2017 Scholar/Instructional Asst. - Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program at SDCCD July 2016 – December 2016 Synthesized and purified various compounds for future studies on their inhibitory properties against tumor cell growth and propagation.
