PK provides Axle tubes, E-coated components, stamping and plastic injection moldings to the automotive markets. Major customers include DANA, Nissan, Honda, Toyota and Subaru.

Responsible for managing supplier relations along with supplier quality and delivery as well as supplier improvement plans when necessary

Responsible for direct (140M), Indirect (1M), Services(600K) and MRO (2M) spend for three facilities in the US.

Materials Manager Workhorse Custom Chassis/Navistar 2005 – Apr 2012

Responsible for improvements in all aspects of Materials (300M annual spend) including:

Master scheduling/forecasting, material planning, material expediting, shop floor control/loading, ISO certification, inbound/outbound logistics along with indirect martials procurement and product quality.

Successfully reduced days of supply from 19 to 5 with corresponding reduction in raw material inventory from 14.3M to 3.6M thru implementation of Kan Ban, small container packaging, and internal/external kaizen events.

Part of the ERP upgrade team that moved the company to a WEB based ERP system with changes to the standard reporting that have achieved 98% on time delivery from the supplier base for the past 6 years. (Approximately 600 suppliers)

Introduced visual control within the manufacturing plant that resulted in a 20% reduction in change over time and increased efficiency of manpower.

Introduced shop quality tracking system that successfully reduced defects per unit from 3.5 to less than one over a two year period.

Aided the company in achieving initial and continuing ISO certification by development of necessary procedures and forms.

Incorporated cycle counting into shop performance measurements while introducing casual analysis for inventory discrepancies which has moved record accuracy from below 90% to above 99% resulting in 98% on time delivery of finished goods.
