Welder; August 2010 – present

Fabrication, repair and new construction of industrial coal, natural gas, paper mill and nuclear boilers.

●Part of a team for AZCO that built 160ft smoke stack for a 350 megawatt natural gas boiler. Built 4 40ft sections by using square sheets of 1 to 3/8 in thick steel, bending using hand tools and come alongs to bend into a circle, welding them into place then stacking each section on top of each other, using a large lattuce boom crawler crane. Then welding the round seams. All x ray quality, over 2000 feet of welding

●At Flint hills refinery working for Chicago Bridge and Iron, helped build 140ft vacuum tower from the ground up using bluprints, stainless steel, welded and bolted together. Rig and lift into place, 1.6 million pound lift, with worlds 3rd largest crane at time. Installation and connection of hundreds of various piping systems, hydraulic lines and oil containing systems for refinement. Hi torqueing of pressure vessels, use of hydraulic machines to remove heat exchanger’s for service

●Maintained blast furnace at Gopher Resources for Tri Rivers Welding, replacement of natural gas lines, water jackets and connections, high pressure fitting, copper jackets and liner replacement, jet engine removal and basic service. Maintenance of over 30 8in-26in auger delivery system. Maintaining acid recovery delivery troughs and system.

-Diesel Cast Welding 2190 107th LN NE Blaine, MN 55449

Welder/ Mechanic; October 2005- December 2009

Diesel cast engine head teardown, clean up and rebuild.

●Removal of high pressure brass blowout plugs and other fittings from head with torch, wrenches, taps or other non-destructive mode of removal for cleaning preparation

●Mag-flux NDT testing for casting cracks

●Use of radial arm drill, hand grinders, air grinders, torches, welders and other equipment to prep head for rebuilding.

●Use of 15 ton bead blasting and hi temp cleaning baker

●Maintaining equipment to complete these procedures

●Grind and machine to exact head specification for re-installation in engine

Skills

-Mechanically inclined, Over 5,000 hours experience welding with GTAW, FCAW, GMAW and SMAW processes. Ability to Weld mild/80/90 steel, stainless, other hard surfacing steels. Certified high pressure boiler tube welder. Oxy/acetylene cutting, plasma cutting, and silver brazing. Trained to use crane signals and rig large unproportioned objects to be lifted by cranes. Able to read blueprints and fabricate accordingly.
