•Managed the shutdown and transfer of our Canadian manufacturing plant to SC.

A $25 million Tier 1 BMW supplier. This was a startup operation to produce automatic convertible tops for the Z4 roadster. . Focus was the use of existing space to warehouse and improve the materials flow from vendors to achieve a daily production rate of 250 tops per day.
•Implemented the warehousing plan to utilize existing space and support daily production requirements.
•Setup the system to coordinate production activities with off-site vendors.
•Recommended and implemented raw material Kanban systems to maintain production and optimize material flow.
•Specified and procured returnable packaging for raw materials.
•Assist the Material Manager in the optimization of ERP system.
