With that being said; let me promote myself as a “well-seasoned”, battle hardened veteran of the practice of Pharmacy in the state of Tennessee. A pharmacist with a solid history of Institutional- hospital, Long-Term Care, and Retail Pharmacy. A pharmacist with managerial experience, solid clinical pharmacist capabilities, and general pharmacist staff duties. Not a clock watcher -- a pharmacist who does not stop working until the patient health care needs are met, devoted to good customer services, big believer in sticking to the code --an enforcer of the law.
Pharmacy Activity and Education:
--Rutherford Hospital-now M.T.M.C., inpatient and outpatient, 24-hour coverage, unit dose, IV’s, etc.
--Provider of Clinical pharmacy services to nursing homes in the area -- as an after-hour service.
Performed chart review, P&T member, nursing service education, medication destruction.
--V.A. Medical Centers-Nashville and Murfreesboro, inpatient & outpatient, unit dose,
IV’s, Chemotherapy, TPN, 24-hour coverage. Pharmacy computer services liaison to
hospital computer section (DHCP). Promoted to Outpatient supervisor, managed
over 25 employees. Merit achievement award presented based on computer capabilities.
--Clinical pharmacy services to nursing homes had increased to over 600 beds. Contracted with
additional Clinical Pharmacists to assist in providing services. Provided information services on
the new TennCare Medicaid program and Medicare Prospective Payment System to nursing home
facilities, Plan 340B to pharmacies.
--Attending M.T.S.U. with class work completion at B.S. level and M.S. degree level in computer
science and information systems. Achieved graduate teaching permission at 100-300 course levels,
high volume class numbers -100 to 150 students, amphitheater style.
