INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
Universal Oil Products Honeywell May 2018-August 2018 McCook, IL
Standardized run conditions for different feed and product types which reduced the probability of an error in the program assignment, which saves thousands of dollars
Assisted with the standardization of the program assignment interface in Hydat
Online Mass Balance Project- Analyzed data from the feed flow meter to determine its offset. The feed flow meter was concluded to be within offset allowed by the manufacture. Then assisted in the decision to keep the E&H Coriolis flow meter for online mass balance
Fractionation tool- Analyzed the stabilizer column bottom products to predict temperature profiles of the atmospheric and the vacuum columns which reduced the time to achieve the desired temperature profiles
E&H Coriolis Rezeroing study- Analyzed data which concluded that rezeroing the flow meters with the heat on had similar offsets to when heat was off
Swenson Technology May 2017-August 2017
Harvey, IL
Conducted multiple tests for Bacanora Mineral to find centrifuge’s rpm, mesh size, crystal wash, boiling point elevation temperature, etc.
Learned the importance of analytical chemistry and was able to use an Ion Chromatography
Installed PVC piping for the cooling tower to supply both chilled and cooled water
Cataloged, tested, and calibrated equipment if needed
Preformed “lock out tag out” when a transformer was installed. Additionally rewired sections of the Swenson building with a team
