ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
P.G - Main project: Role of fly ash in flax-polypropylene reinforced composite.
Aim:To get a better mechanical strength and improve the hydrophobicity nature.
Lignite Fly ash is chosen as the nano material (particle) and natural fibres (reinforce) are selected for the preparation of composite.
The prepared composite based on weight ratio as 80:20:LF (where LF varies from 0 to 10).
The composites can be characterised by XRD, FT-IR, SEM, TGA and their mechanical properties can be compared by plotting graphs.
U.G - Main project: Cylinder Deactivation on Two Different Cubic Capacity Engine
Aim: To reduce fuel consumption.
Initially 100cc and 150cc engine was started and then 100cc engine is made to run up to its top gear (4th gear). After attaining the maximum torque of 8.5 Nm at a speed 4500 rpm at 4th gear, the power of 100cc engine is shifted to 150cc engine and it is made to run directly at 4th gear attaining a speed of 6500 rpm at maximum torque of 12.5 Nm by making 100cc engine to neutral gear.
If speed of 150cc engine gets reduced at any circumstances, the power of 150cc engine is shifted to 100cc by making 150cc engine to neutral gear.
IN PLANT TRAINING:
Four days training at Goodwin motors
Dismantling and assembling of indica diesel (four strokes) engine with working of all parts.
Dismantling and assembling of ford petrol (four strokes) engine with working of all parts.
In bonnet, testing the temperature of inlet and exhaust manifold, spark plug, radiator.
Working of disc brake.
Dismantling and assembling of pulsar-150cc(two wheeler).
Five days in plant training at karthikeya industries.
