Lead instructor and administrator of the Health Sciences Academy at Tavares High School. Taught coursework for EKG Technician, Certified Medical Administrative Assistant, and Certified Nursing Assistant certification courses. First time pass rate of students in the Nursing Assistant Program was 0% the year before I came on board. After my first year the pass rate was 75% and in my second year I had brought the program to a 100% first time pass rate on the state certification exam and was recognized as one of the top high school CNA programs in Florida. Worked with industry professionals to produce healthcare professionals that can better serve their community.

ACTIVITIES

I am not only proficient in delivery of health care but I am also very passionate about it and thoroughly enjoy the process. I volunteer at my church on the medical/safety team as a way to use my skills to give back to my community. I am also passionate about being a musician. This helps me in healthcare by being able to listen carefully and critically. I am also an American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers instructor and volunteer in local schools and community organizations to teach CPR. I am also a private pilot and have held my license since I was 17 years old. Flying airplanes requires and extensive attention to detail which I believe translates well to healthcare.
