ACADEMIC PROJECT

Title: Productivity Improvement and Defect Analysis in a Valve Manufacturing Plant Role: Worked under the production department for the capstone project of B. Tech. and studied the machining, assembly and painting processes.

• Developed value stream map for four valve types using time study data. Computed parameters like productive and non-productive time, First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness

(OEE).

• Documented reworks during production and prioritized them using Pareto Chart.

• Provided solutions to these defects by A3 Problem – Solving sheet and 5 – Why method. PERSONAL TRAITS

To proceed forward by tackling obstacles in the path with courage and allocation my precious time to acquire skill through self-confidence.
