I have over seventeen years of experience in the field of public relations. Some of my experience includes a Youth Pastor position, a Sales Rep for the Yellow Pages (at L.M. Berry Company), and also an Assistant Manager at Family Christian Stores. As a Youth Pastor I constantly and consistently worked with people and dealt with various problems. I had to be self-motivated, organized, prepared, faithful, goal-oriented, and always a people person. I was placed in a position of responsibility of teaching, counseling, and training young adults, as well as, older adults. I was required to schedule and arrange activities, plan monthly calendars, and work as a team member with the Pastor and members of the church.
My position at L.M. Berry Company as a Yellow Page Account Representative provided me with highly trained sales techniques along with valuable customer service skills. The majority of my service was by phone, fax, and the internet. I was responsible for daily, monthly and annual account filing all of which were completed and submitted within strict deadlines. The job required a self-motivated, highly energetic, self-disciplined, self-managing, organized, and flexible individual. There I managed and maintained hundreds of accounts at one particular time. The skills that were most required was creativity, perseverance, and keeping a positive attitude with other clients and with my fellow employees.
As Assistant Manager of Family Christian Stores I supervised and motivated a nine person staff. I was responsible for filing daily, monthly, and annual financial reports all of which were completed and submitted within deadlines. I was in charge of overall daily management of the store and many of its operations, to include but not limited to; hiring, training, scheduling, and termination when appropriate.
I am an enthusiastic, detail oriented, high output, and conscientious team worker. I learn quickly and I am dedicated to getting any and all tasks completed. I have worked successfully with budgets and deadlines. I have worked with difficult people and situations in a very fast paced environment. I am always expanding my knowledge in the field to better myself. I have extensive knowledge of all office procedures and machinery, to include but not limited to; MS Excel, Publisher, Power Point, and Word (typing 40+ wpm).
