SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Nine years in the copper and gold processing industry: Mineral processing (8), Smelting and refining (1)
Excelled in operations management and process control
Sound knowledge in research and development and project management
Good professional relationship with co-workers, business partners, and other external entities
Accomplished as an individual or part of a technical team, whether as a head or member
Passion for innovation with a continuous learning and improvement discipline
MAJOR WORK ACCOMPLISHMENTS
PHILEX Mining Corporation
Pioneered the Research and Development section under the Metallurgy department, utilizing a “back-to-basics” approach to metallurgical and operational practices and systematization of metallurgical studies and plant problem-solving techniques
Improved the recovery of precious metals (+3% for Cu, +5% for Au) by leading and managing the change of the operating philosophy in the grinding and flotation circuit
Improved slime flotation circuit efficiency by isolating mine-delivered slimes (fine to ultrafine ore with high metal grades) from crushed and ground ore and processing these separately in a specifically-tuned slime grinding and flotation circuit
Initiated and managed the innovation from manually-performed Metallurgical accounting systems in the milling plant: real-time monitoring of hourly tonnages, assays, parameters, and reagent dosages, as well as monthly accounting of plant production and operating costs
Increased flotation plant capacity and efficiency by designing the expansion of the cleaner flotation circuit, which yielded an additional 10% plant capacity and higher metals recovery
