WORK EXPERIENCE

(1)Data Integrity Administrator (Operations) – Investment Planning Counsel, Head Office, Mississauga - April 24, 2000 to May 29, 2014.

Major duties:

Process exception reports and review the daily securities trade transactions to ensure accuracy of the data in the system.

Attend and respond to inquiries and issues from financial advisors in a timely, responsive manner and escalate further where appropriate.

Effectively co-ordinate with the various fund companies to ensure the accuracy of the portfolio of the clients, and report the portfolio activity to the department team involved.

Participate in various departmental projects and other required financial reports.

Assist in the preparation of the quarterly, semi-annual and annual portfolio reports of the clients, including the proof-reading.

Routine maintenance of the Winfund/Univeris database, which includes fixing errors and/or removing redundancies in order to streamline the flow of data within the system.

Provide training to new recruits on the operational activities of the department.

Review funds approvals and update the appropriate Mutual Funds/Segregated Funds/Labour Sponsored Fund Mutual Funds to the product shelf.

Assist in the testing of data for the transitioning the existing Winfund database into new Univeris database.

(2) Mutual Funds Quality Control Administrator – Canadian Financial Data System, Toronto – January 24, 2000 to April 21, 2000.

Major duties:

Review mutual funds transactions in order to confirm that their requirements meet established policies and quality standards.

Follow up with the Processing Unit to ensure that discrepancies and errors identified in the portfolio of the clients are fixed on a timely basis.

Monitor processed transactions to ensure that accuracy is maintained while inputting data in the Corfax system.

(3) Investment Assistant, Corporate Finance and Capital Markets – Ontario Securities Commission, Toronto – November 15, 1999 to December 13, 1999.

Major duties:

Provide research assistance by retrieving information through SEDAR (System for Electronic Documents Analysis and Retrieval), such as financial statements relating to companies listed on the Canadian stock exchanges.

Compile valuation data, such as market capitalization, book value, gross revenue, etc. for these listed companies and updating the existing database.

Assist in the preparation of company research reports, which involved the calculation of financial ratios related to the analysis of liquidity, debt, profitability and value.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / TECHNICAL SKILLS

Canadian Securities Course (CSC), and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH).

High School Diploma.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word, Power Point).

Strong working knowledge of Winfund, Univeris and Corfax back-office systems.

Familiarity with systems such as Bloomberg and Reuters.

Participated in-house training courses on investment banking, seminars and presentations on the global financial markets as well as emerging markets.

10 years experience in an administrative role in the wealth planning industry.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Prepared an Operations Manual of Winfund back-office system for the departmental use. This manual outlines the procedures for the clean-up of various errors/discrepancies identified in the log files.
