Oversaw catalyst change out of HDS and reformer tubes reactors during turnaround
Chemical Engineering Assistant
Process Dynamics, Fayetteville, AR, (January 2013)
Oversaw reactors and performed data analysis on results of the effluent
Assisted head chemical engineer in calculations and process designs
Took off-gas samples and preformed gas chromatography analysis
ENGINEERING PROJECTS
Sour Water Stripping Tower Pilot Plant
Worked with a team to design, construct, and operate air fed sour water stripping towers
Ran quantitative tests on stripped water and preformed data analysis to assess the tower efficiency and unit KPIs
Used design parameters and chemical results to determine if the project could be scaled up for implementation as a refinery unit while complying to PSM procedures
Integrated Farm System Model Rewrite
Lead designer of modularized denitrification and decomposition program for larger model integration
Used well document biochemical reactions to create denitrification and decomposition simulator
Designed process control module to regulate boundary conditions for biochemical simulation
Reactor Catalyst Change Out
Created specifications and managed contractors during turnaround
Worked with contractors to load catalyst layers based on outages and calculated weights
Weighed, handled, and processed spent catalyst for shipping and storage using EPA and Department of Transportation standards
Pork Simulation Weather Data Aggregation
Independently accumulated weather data from 1960-2015 and transformed the data into hourly values for simulation calculation
Took MERRA weather files from NASA website and wrote a MATLAB program to generate hourly weather values
Used NOAA daily temperature data and wrote a MATLAB program to interpolate the daily values into hourly values
Refinery Process Computer Simulation
Independently programmed refinery conditions and specifications into CHEMCAD simulation software
Programmed vacuum and atmospheric distillation column systems to model refinery output
Created new fluid specifications for crude oil components from specifications and analysis from gas chromatograph data
Reformer Tube Change Out
Monitored and oversaw the change out of reformer tubes and loading of reformer catalyst during turnaround
Tracked tube temperature dynamics to determine which tubes needed to be changed out during turnaround
Oversaw new catalyst loading during turnaround and shipped off unwanted catalyst storage using EPA and Department of Transportation standards
