Student Projects and Work Experience:
April – May 2018: Global health Symposium 2018->Part of team of 11 multinational, multi-cultural, Global health graduates working on research activity for System Mapping of Traditional Health Practices in India. The project consisted of literature review, policy review, field observations, stakeholder interviews, data interpretation and analysis, report and précis writing, system map creation and presentation.
January 2018 to May 2018: Masters Dissertation -> The research project is titled “A Cross-Sectional study on Adherence to lifestyle modification among known hypertensive patients in Udupi district”. The methodology included a multi-centred, questionnaire-based survey amongst know hypertensive patients who were visiting secondary level healthcare hospitals in Udupi district. Study presented in global health symposium 2018 held at Manipal.
April 2017: Global Health Symposium 2017 -> Part of a team of 12 multi-national, multi-cultural, Global Health graduates working on research activity for System Mapping of Infectious Diseases. The project consisted of literature review, policy review, field observations, stakeholder interviews, data interpretation and analysis, report and précis writing, system map creation and presentation. January 2017 to April 2017: Foundations of Global Health II -> A competitive course, which involved writing a proposal for financial aid (of € 3,000,000/US$3,300,000) from a developmental agency. The team included six graduate students (including students from Maastricht University
(Netherlands) and McMaster University (Canada). The proposal included a problem statement, project description, project implementation strategy, gender equality and sustainability strategies, Logical Framework, Budgeting and Scheduling, Risk register, Program Monitoring Framework and Technical Team selection. The submission was followed by a Pitch and Defence presentation. The thematic area selected by our team was “clean drinking water & sanitation”and the project title was
“Punjab clean drinking water initiative”
September 2016 to December 2016: Foundations of Global Health I: The team included six graduate students. A competitive course, which involved critical policy analysis, and fostered interpersonal and professional team building and communication. Learnt to develop a broad understanding of the concepts and determinants of global health by analyzing existing policy Page 3 of 6
documents to understand the importance of problem framing in policy because policies often determine pathways of response.

Himaghana Pharmaceuticals is a distributor of medicines in Udupi district. My role includes building a network of doctors, who will procure medicines from the firm. 4) Vice-President, Vakwady Friends: NGO (Kundapura, Karnataka) Jan 2016 – present [Part-time]
This is a voluntary, service position. A Vakwady friends, is a youth organisation, run by young professionals and students from Vakwady village, Kundapura. The NGO undertakes community service projects in the village and organises cultural and entertainment programmes in the community.
The activities conducted so far include:

- Free medical checkup

Prashamani Hospital is an Orthopaedic Hospital and Trauma Centre. I worked here for 6 months, and received experience in minor surgical procedures, and providing first response emergency services to trauma cases.
