WORK EXPERIENCE:
1979 to 1989 I owned and operated a 35 room Hotel with Dining Room, Kitchen and two Coctail Lounges.
1982 I was appointed Returning Officer for the Provincial District of Humber, St. George’s, St. Barb.
1982 I was the President of the Deer Lake Chamber of Commerce.
1983 I was the Founding CEO of Humber Valley Credit Union, a multi million Dollar Financial Institution operating in Deer Lake, Nl.
1989 to 2010 I operated a Multiline Insurance Agency through The CO-Operators. I started Paul Young Insurance Agency Inc. from scratch and upon my retirement in 2010 the Agency was grossing approximately $4,000,000 Annual Premiums.
During my period with The Co-Operators I was heavily involved in Front Line Underwriting with a heavy emphasis on Loss Prevention and eliminating Premium Leakages. We relied heavily on POS and PMSC computer systems to keep us focused on building a profitable Book of Business.
2010 to 2018 Operating as an Insurance Broker providing Life Insurance and other Financial Products to clients.
