JOB PROFILE:

Working as a Lab Chemist at Jindal Steel & Power Limited, Angul, Odisha from May-2014 to till date. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working as a Lab Chemist in Material Testing Laboratory at Plate Mill.

Engaging in material testing laboratory work like tensile, impact, bend, spectro, hardness and metallography.

Reviews daily quality of product including chemical analysis and mechanical testing of steel and quality audits and assessment of steel product.

Having good knowledge in Spectro Analysis (Chemical) and Mechanical Testing.

Co-ordination with third party inspection agencies during material testing like Lloyds,TUV,BVIL,Tata Projectd,IRS,ABS etc...

Assists in testing problem solving and customer complaint investigations.

Arranges required testing and additional processing of product to ensure quality criteria of customers is met.

Planning & ensuring all the laboratory activities including sample preparation, general testing, trials, third party testing, reports, test certificates as per different standards.

Responsible for all the laboratory equipments handling like UTM, Impact Tester, Hardness Tester, Spectrometer, Microscope and Bend Testers.

Responsible for maintaining all the documents & reports of the QA-QC.

Responsible for assuring testing required for various customer as per the TDC.

Responsible for implementing the requirements of Quality Management System.

Chemical analysis of critical steel product as required.

Communicates within the quality control assurance department, operating and service groups on quality issues and promotes awareness of quality requirements

Maintaining quality documents/ records against the testing data.

Preparation of daily/weekly/monthly quality reports. DECLARATION
