Salary Desired: $85,000 - $100,000 (Pro-Rated Overtime for Billable Hours)
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
March 2015 – 2016 Advanced Cleanup Technologies, Inc., Carson, CA.
Technical Services Manager
●I was employed as the Technical Rescue Services Manager, but was soon wearing many different hats, with the responsibilities of Operations Manager, Emergency Response Manager, Project Manager, Waste Stream Coordinator, Accounts Manager, Transportation Manager/ Dispatch Supervisor and Safety Officer within our Carson Office, as well as whenever responding to large-scale hazardous material release incidents. I am well-versed in the area of Incident Management and the Incident Command System (ICS), as a result of my ten year tenure as a Firefighter, Fire Captain and member of the San Luis Obispo Hazardous Incident Response Team (SLO-HIRT).
●Through the years of working in this industry, I obtained many credentials, and I've always felt a need to share my knowledge and education with others, inspiring me to become a certified instructor/trainer in many pertinent aspects of the Haz-Mat field, including, but not limited to; 40-Hr. HAZWOPER, Confined Space Entry & Awareness, Confined Space Rescue, Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider & Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Global Harmonization System (GHS), and many more (Electronic copies of most certs available upon request)…
●Currently, I have taken on the task of mentoring Supervisors in the field, training them in the proper ways to bid a job, taking into consideration; Proper PPE selection, resources, personnel, time/materials, sub-contractors & mark-up, contingency plans, host-company delays, unforeseen variables and documentation. I am also training them in emergency response & spill management, working them into the ICS Planning ‘P’, what steps to take, and the documentation required during each stage of the incident, etc…
2012 - 2015 Double Barrel Environmental Services, Long Beach, CA.
Response Manager / Technical Rescue Services Manager
●I was employed as a Response Manager, with the responsibilities of an Operations Manager, Safety Manager, and Warehouse Manager. I ran the day to day operations of the Los Angeles Office, as well as dispatching Emergency Response personnel to spills, coordinating/dispatching transportation, managing waste streams, conducting training (Maintaining compliance with all State and Federal requirements), and preparing proposals for industrial cleaning projects.
●During my tenure with Double Barrel Environmental Services, I headed up the Confined Space Rescue Department, and successfully attained contracts, maintained customer satisfaction, and “Drove” the Rescue Team to a strong and cohesive unit. I was not only a member of the “Rescue Team,” I also conducted the training of would-be Confined Space Rescuers, and evaluated annual refresher scenarios in order for personnel to obtain re-certification.
●I have been involved in numerous CDF&W-OSPR table-top “Spill-Drills,” and dealt with our clients’ contingency plans (Customer facilities, as well as Double Barrel’s) as a representative of Double Barrel Environmental due to my knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) as a Firefighter, and experience as a San Luis Obispo County Hazardous Material Incident Response Team Member.
●I’ve conducted, coordinated, and participated in, CDF&W-OSPR “Unannounced” Spill Drills in order to maintain the company’s OSRO status with the State of California.
2009 - 2012 Patriot Environmental Services, Long Beach, CA.
Project Supervisor/Technical Rescue Services Manager
●I worked for Patriot Environmental Services in the capacity of Project Supervisor, for which I was originally hired.
●During my tenure with Patriot, I created and headed up the Confined Space Rescue Department, and took the company to a position where they can out-source their “Rescue Teams” in order to gain revenue with or without having to be the company cleaning the tank, pit, vault, etc.
●I brought the company into compliance with the current laws, rules and regulations surrounding the Confined Space field. Not only supervising projects necessitating rescue personnel, but also certifying employees in the capacity of “Confined Space Rescuers.”
●I attended many client “Table-Top Spill-Drills” as a representative of Patriot Environmental Services, and was involved in numerous CDF&W-OSPR “Unannounced” Spill Drills, in almost every capacity.
