• Lead the procurement department in all purchasing cycle from identifying and specifying a need, establish price and terms, formulating PO and expediting the goods/services, receive and inspect the goods for approval.

• Maximized cooperative purchasing through bulk buying of materials at lower price. For example negotiated with suppliers to source products from economically viable sources or by reducing product specification to reduce the production cost.

• Downsized supplier base by 50% to ensure that the supplier (production of raw materials, spare parts, packaging for finished goods, and transportation) is aligned with the company’s quality standards as well as cost constraints. This involved formulating a supplier audit report to evaluate the significance of each supplier based on their key deliverables (financial capabilities, production, pricing, warehousing, distribution and services) while conforming to turnaround time, quality and cost.

• Reduced surplus stock through redistribution of materials internally within the plant process and externally e.g. reselling the material to another existing plants.
