Being a graduate of the Business Administration – Human Resources with Co-op program at George Brown College, I was exposed to many areas that are crucial for all HR professionals. Recruitment & Selection, Training

& Development, Occupational Health & Safety, Labour Relations & Compensation are just a few areas of HR that really struck out to me, and the training and experience I’ll receive at Harry Rosen will be ideal for me to jumpstart my career. Whether it’s setting up new employees, or ensuring the office is following correct legislation when it comes to health & safety or recruitment, I believe I have the skillset and experience to make a positive impact. I am a goal-orientated and reliable individual who thrives on new opportunities and has worked in fast- paced environments. I pride myself on my communication and problem-solving ability, which I have developed through my previous experiences.

While working as an HR intern with Mercedes-Benz Canada since September 2018, not only has my knowledge of HR grown, but so has my fandom of the brand! Having the opportunity to team up with passionate representatives, customers and fellow employees at a Certified “Great Place to Work” has made this experience fulfilling in many ways. I currently work in depth with the HR Business Partner, HR Data & Systems Specialist, and Employee Engagement Specialist developing a well-rounded knowledge of our function as well as enhancing my awareness in team settings. Due to working closely with the team, I am extremely familiar with many coordinator day-to-day tasks, as well as the internet applications used on a daily basis – like Empath, TMS, and Taleo.

In my previous position, I was working for five sister companies as an Administrator. I have gained extensive experience, particularly with regards to excellence in many human resources and administrative duties, and event planning. In the past three years, I have worked for five sister companies, each with unique needs. I familiarized myself with how each company functioned, the types of issues that may arise, and how to handle different situations at any given time. I worked closely with the employees in our office, and with offices across Canada, and therefore understand the importance of legislation in the different provinces. I was also part of a team that planned, organized, and hosted large-scale events and executive meetings throughout the year. Through my persistent nature and strong interest in such a rewarding role, I hope to begin my career at Harry Rosen as a Human Resources Coordinator.
