Employment History
Substitute Teacher Henrico County Public Schools 2016-Current
As a Substitute Teacher, I am charged with providing a positive educational experience for the students under my care. That involves executing teacher lesson plans as provided, as well as following the dictates of the school based on their specific handbook. I handle disciplinary situations as they arise in accordance with school rules as well as state guidelines. I interact with the school administration and different school personnel as required during my assignment. I also interface with parents and/or the public on an as-needed basis as directed by school admin. I mainly serve in the elementary level and work at various schools within the county.
Substitute Teacher Chesterfield County Public Schools 2015-2017
Same as above.
Clerk Party City 2015-2016
As a seasonal/part time sales person my main focus was Customer service. This included being attentive to the needs and wants of customers to create a positive customer experience. Other duties included answering incoming phone calls, unloading freight, working the cash register, notifying the on-duty manager when necessary, down stocking merchandise and closing the store. Housekeeping duties included vacuuming the carpets, sweeping the floors, cleaning the restrooms and straightening up the isles in the store.
Barista Kroger 2015-2015
Upon becoming a certified barista (Starbucks) my main focus was to fulfill Customer orders. Required detail-orientation and the ability to deliver product in a timely manner. Maintaining composure and patience under high pressure situations such as the morning coffee rush. Other tasks included brewing fresh coffee daily along with preparing several teas. General duties included making sure the kiosk was clean at the beginning and end of each day.
Day Camp Counselor (Two-Week summer program)
Sparc August Adventure Camp, Richmond, VA 2014-Current
This is my way of giving back to the Community. As a theater major, I have the opportunity to work with young people who are developing a love of theater. This camp runs daily from 8:00 to 1:00 pm. My duties include working with staff to prepare for the students each day; escorting them to their various activities as planned by the school, leading them in rehearsal for their roles in the end-school performance, and sharing in games and activities with them throughout the day. Interaction with parents is sometimes required if their children have specific needs. After day camp, I work in AfterCare (extended daycare) which continues once the main camp is closed for the day where kids are entertained with movies, playground, etc. until dismissal around 3:30 pm.
