Experimental setup and analysis of stepped solar still by using phase change materials(PCM) The water crises observed in arid regions in world is the motivation behind the project. A simple water evaporation cycle whose performance is enhanced by using steps instead of basin, thus increasing the surface area of contact. This along with various thermal modification and juncture of a parabolic reflector ad s an advantage. Phase changing materials are used to even keep the process going after sunset. An overall increase of 36% in efficiency is observed after the modification.

Absorption refrigeration system and its applications in trucks The project focuses on extracting heat from the exhaust of trucks and using it as air-conditioning of the cab or partially refrigerating the load if needed. Ammonia-water mixture is used as refrigerant and as it passes through a heat exchanger coupled with heating from exhaust and then it is passed through series of tubes which acts as an evaporator.

To carry out process planning for minimum defects, cost reduction, rejection control and customer satisfaction.
