Directly assisted in the Implementation of the Advancement Individual Training (AIT) Information Fair servicing over 1500 graduating soldiers and family members on a monthly basis, ensuring families can function and be resilient when the soldier is deployed.
I spearhead the AIT Job Fair raising awareness of the program among members of JBLE and other local military installations. The AIT Job Fair program is a Benchmark for Joint Base Langley Eustis and other Joint Base Installations. I was awarded Volunteer of the Quarter and Volunteer of the Month for the successful collaboration and assistance with the implementation of the AIT Job Fair program. I Instruct Army Family Team Building (AFTB) courses. I taught numerous classes to all ranks of airmen preparing them for deployment in cases of emergencies. During Hurricane Hugo, I was awarded an Award of Excellence for my exceptional work. I earned many awards while working in various administrative units; I had a wide array of jobs. I also supervised in several different positions.
As a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, I counseled airmen and upper echelon leadership on using alcohol properly. I was a Licensed and Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor, where I facilitated groups and taught numerous classes. I was responsible for keeping up with 25 – 50 records bi-monthly of airmen that were being discharged due to their alcohol problems. These numbers varied from each duty station.
