Claims System Modernization (Farmers Insurance)

Farmers Insurance Group is an American insurer group of automobiles, homes and small businesses and also provides other insurance and financial services products. Farmers insurance was using the legacy applications for claims management. This project involved the modernization of the Claims Processing system by replacing the Legacy claims system with Salesforce application.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewed the Business Requirement Documents (BRD) & System Requirement Specification (SRS) & developed Test Cases for each functional requirement.

Involved in Test Cases review with Development team and product manager and modified the test cases based on their feedback.

Worked with the Oracle Fusion Middleware team to perform SOA Testing.

Tested the REST APIs which were developed in MuleSoft.

Validate JSON formatted data, different http status code like 200, 201, 400, 415, 500etc.

Developed test scripts using Selenium WebDriver using Java in Eclipse.

Worked in all phases testing like Smoke, Sanity, System Integration, Functionality using Selenium WebDriver.

Used POM.

It requires all users to log in RTM once they arrive and logged out at the end of day. Users will click various task like working on core task, or went for meeting or for a break etc.it also allowed employees to writes comments to explain if for any reason their productivity was low on a particular day. Team leads and managers will have full access to all users time reports all the time and will help them manage productivity of employees. It also gives reports showing productivity for employees, teams etc.

Involvement in Test Plans includes Test Data preparation and Reviews

Developed Test Cases for each functional requirement

Linked all Test Cases to Requirements for Traceability in HP ALM
