Enhanced current product line of valves and regulators through design changes and testing, leading to increased product performance and endurance.

Utilize Pro Engineer Wildfire 5.0 to make detailed component and assembly designs, changes and develop detailed drawings for production release.

Disposition of product non-conformances received through incoming inspection quality department.

Established physical site improvements for high pressure test bunker for safety of technicians.

Create detailed technical manuals detailing complete breakdown and assembly procedures for product line.

Coordinate and oversite of all quality and manufacturing inspection equipment calibrations.

Created and defined existing and new engineering and company processes in support of quality policy requirements. Developed new forms and released into documentation system for company wide use.

FMC TECHNOLOGIES, INC., Houston, TX 4/2011 – 4/2015

TECHNICAL MANAGER - (5/2013 to 4/2015)

Provide technical process support to core technology valve development group, establishing critical project tools for efficient execution across multidisciplinary teams. Creation of detailed process maps for the design and development process supporting and enhancing engineering delivery.

Established a new department newsletter for external communication of group activities and successes as well as managing the ongoing effort for a quarterly release. Overall exposure of our department to the broader company was dramatically increased creating new opportunities for engagement.

Provided leadership for our department's electronic system of knowledge management for valve and actuators. Directly utilized collaboration tools to enhance project communications as well as active engagement to ensure timely technical responses.

Successfully established a key alignment and responsibility operational charter between development group and multiple global product line teams for transition of products and ongoing support efforts.

ENGINEERING MANAGER - (4/2011 to 5/2013)

Key responsibility was management of daily activities for valve and actuator engineering and development group with as many as twelve direct reports during this time. Supported projects relating to API 6A and 17D for surface and subsea wellheads.

Defined scope, resources and requirements for $2 million yearly group budget for projects. Provided alignment with department and business unit requirements.

Performed one on one career discussions, performance appraisals with direct reports to provide development, direction and feedback. Defined career path growth and progression for direct reports helping the department and individuals achieve goals. Initiated salary reviews for merit and performance increases.

Conducted many interviews for entry and senior level engineering candidates assuring the technical background was sufficient along with attention to cultural fit of new employees to fulfill department needs.

The department and company was in the middle of a crisis of a fundamental valve product when I first began employment. Stepping in the run a team to determine the root cause and possible mitigation efforts, we achieved successful near term solutions while assisting with operational process controls to prevent further occurrences.

BAE SYSTEMS, INC. – Land & Armaments / Global Tactical Systems, Houston, TX 11/2001 - 12/2010

This facility was closed due to loss of the primary government contract causing a full layoff of all employees over a several year period as production came to a stop. I was affected in the third round of layoffs approximately six months later.

PROJECT ENGINEER - NEW PRODUCTS ENGINEERING GROUP – (12/2009 to 12/2010)

Development of new products for domestic and international sales.

Assisted with the oversight and build of three new variants for marketing to Greece and abroad.

Established engineering bills of materials and technical data packages for new products.

PROJECT ENGINEER - SYSTEMS ENGINEERING GROUP – (8/2009 to 12/2009)

New group created to ensure system design control and development.

Reviewed engineering changes for system impacts to overall vehicle design and performance.

Provided support for testing at customer site and assisted with failure analysis and resolution.
