Retained by a contract manufacturer with 250 employees, reporting to the VP of Operational Excellence, to streamline order flow from data entry to production floor. I offered recommendations based on my findings, eliminating redundant tasks and changing the flow of new orders. I also recommended changes that would reduce production time on several products.
HFI - West Chicago, IL 2003-2017
Director of Operations
HFI was a small Contract Manufacturer with twenty-two production employees, specializing in custom precision sheet metal components serving the Food Service, Telecommunications and Transportation Industries. I joined HFI in May of 2003 with a large debt and several years of financial losses. The current management was ineffective, resulting in poor quality, late deliveries and overall poor morale throughout the company. Suppliers were reducing credit and customers were threatening to move their business.
I took complete control of all operations including finance, production, quality and sales, resulting in:
