Prior Work Experience
Position: Co-owner and IT Support Specialist
Company: Nominal Components
Start and end dates: OCT. 2007 – AUG. 2014
Provided IT support and computer repair services for several private customers.
Position: Service Deli Clerk
Start and end dates: MAR. 2016 – SEP. 2016
Customer service as a summer job to help pay for my degree. Built multitasking and pipelining skills. Most importantly how pivotal proper task scheduling can be.
Position: Lunch Server and Delivery Driver
Company: Ki’s School Lunches
Start and end dates: SEP. 2013 – DEC. 2015
Delivered and served children their school lunches. I was initially asked by my aunt (who owns and runs the company) to design the point of sale application for the kiosk service we offered. I gained a lot of knowledge about programming around alternative input methods, but was not knowledgeable enough at the time to complete in a timely manner.
Position: Customer Service Coordinator
Company: Jenny Craig Weight Loss Centres
Start and end dates: APR 2006. -NOV. 2007
Customer service and inventory management job. Unspoken job duties included maintenance of the computer systems and point of sale software the company used at the time.
Macro program that takes a recording of inputs and plays them back in real time. Final project for Software Engineering class.
Constraint Satisfaction Problem Solver (Cryptarithmetic)
Done for an entry level AI class, this program uses a set of constraints to properly solve cryptarithmetic puzzles. As long as a puzzle falls within the proper constraints, it can solve the problem.
Deterministic Finite Automaton Simulation (Email Spam Filter)
Final project for Theory of Computing was to make a spam filter by simulating the steps in a DFA that we modeled on paper, but in C/C++. It was required to find and indicate which emails were spam.
Clean YouTube Viewer Application
Final project for my mobile programming class. Written in MVVM style using Prism/Xamarin. Designed to create a YouTube app without the invasive aspects. No suggested videos, no tracking, no login, just a clean YouTube experience.
Note: More code examples available upon request, these were just programs that challenged me at the time.
