Directed the building, maintenance, and transformation of Invesco’s IT infrastructure technologies, people, and processes over the last 14 years. NASA, Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX 1982 – 1999
USA’s Space Program. The Johnson Space Center’s primary mission is to support all manned space flight initiatives. During the ’82-’99 timeframe the focus was primarily Space Shuttle Operations and the build-up of the International Space Station.
United Space Alliance Operations Center Director
Modified, maintained, and certified NASA’s Mission Control Center (MCC), Integrated Planning Systems (IPS), and Software Avionics Lab (SAIL) for each shuttle mission.
Directed work efforts of approximately 900 solid or dotted line staff. Through efficiencies and improvements, this number was reduced to 630 by 1999.
Reconfigured or upgraded MCC, IPS, and SAIL systems to accommodate shuttle mission needs and objectives.
Providing trained and certified ground control team to operate mission control systems during space shuttle and station missions.
