ACAMDEMIC PROJECTS

+ Novel Security Scheme for online banking based on Virtual Machine:

oDeveloped the project “Novel Security Scheme for online banking based on Virtual Machine” and implemented the database on Oracle 10g. The current online banking scheme built on ordinary software stack, which comprises of the operating system and its applications running on it, is facing attacks including Phishing, Pharming, Malicious Software Attacks (MSW), Man in the Middle Attacks (MITM) and Key logger. Here, we used C language, .net and introduced the Domain Online Banking, a novel security scheme for online banking that combines the virtual machine (VM) technology with web services.

+ Women security system using RFID:

oDesigned a project “Women security system using RFID” to build a security system for women which allows immediate response in case of any harassment. Here, we used JAVA language and the concepts of wireless sensor networks in implementing a RFID tag in an electronic device.

+ Convergence behavior of the Distance Vector and Link-State Routing Protocols:

oCompared convergence time between the various Distance Vector and Link-State protocols using OPNET simulator. Also, compared performance when route-redistribution is applied on both the type of protocols.

+ Routing behavior of IGP and EGP:

oObserved the BGP peering among the iBGP peers and documented the steps involved in achieving convergence of the BGP routing tables.

oInvestigated the behavior of BGP with various timers and its various applications like the BGP attributes which helped in achieving QoS.

+ Performance Comparison of DSDV and AODV ad-hoc routing protocol:

oUsed a scenario of 10 hosts in comparing performance parameters like packet delivery ratio and routing load.
