American Integrated Security Group
Barry was hired as a Project Manager by AISG to oversee installations of high tech integrated security systems protecting solar sites. AISG was in need of someone who had experience in heavy construction including industrial and commercial sites.
In May of 2014 Barry was promoted to Senior Project Manager of AISG. his new responsibilities now included supervision of all of the other project managers and techs, input on the nationwide coordination of jobs, and pricing of construction related tasks.
While at AISG Barry was responsible for jobs that integrated many types of surveillance hardware and software into a system that met the needs and budget of our customers. Barry was mainly kept on the larger jobs consisting primarily of solar sites. AISG was the first security company to design a viable solution to secure sites that may have fifteen miles of fence, multiple gates and control buildings. Aisg developed a system using Flir ptz cameras, Fiber Synsis fiber optic detection systems and Wavestore analytics to meet these needs. These jobs would include Aiphone intercoms to control gate access, fire and burglar alarms along with door access systems in the substation control buildings, and all of the above as well as cctv in the O&M buildings.
As senior project manager Barry managed these jobs and was over other project managers that installed camera and door access controls in schools, hospitals such as Cleveland clinic, JFK airport, and multiple retail customers such as Bed Bath and Beyond, Burlington Coat Factory and Victorias Secrets. Each of these jobs may contain cameras, maglocks, people counters, card readers or keypads and all were monitored in New York by AISG.
Barry helped train techs to install camera poles from the ground up to the installation of solar panels for power the cameras, strobes, sirens, wireless antennas and switches needed to communicate to the head end. Several of these techs went on to be project managers.
Barry was hired by MEMA as a contract employee to serve on the executive staff of the team hired to make the transition from private company management (PBSJ) to MEMA management of the Katrina Cottage Program (MAHP). After serving as Construction Manager thru the transition phase Barry was asked to stay on to help facilitate the permanent installation of the Katrina cottages.
Mississippi Alternative Housing Program
Barry served as quality control supervisor/ transition site manager of the program designed to place Katrina victims in affordable permanent housing. This position included the responsibilities- to work with contractors to install the cottages per contract, supervise all QC staff, act as liaison with the local jurisdictions, verify the elevations of cottage set in flood zones, hiring and management of impediment contractors and management of the transition sites.
