COURSE PROJECTS:

Demand Forecasting and Production Scheduling for a Dairy Cooperative in Buffalo Spring ‘18

• Analyzed the inaccuracies in existing forecasting techniques and production schedule for five different dairy products to combat the problem of understocking and overstocking using Minitab.

• Assessed different forecasting methods (Moving Average, Regression Analysis, Holt’s Method and Winter’s method) and chose the one with least MAPE and MAD error values.

• Presented a production schedule considering appropriate shelf life using MRP and validated the accuracy of proposed forecasts to be more than 90% for all the products.
