Saunders Staffing

Attn: Hiring Manager

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am interested in applying for the position of Executive Administrative Assistant in the Beaver, WV area.

I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health in December 2012. I have been working in administrative roles since 2003, therefore making me quite experienced with Microsoft Office and proficient in Excel and Word. Previous experience has made me successful in demanding and stressful environments and skilled in assisting co-workers with their projects. I consider myself personable and committed to developing positive work relationships but also able to take the initiative to complete task on my own. I have a strong commitment to the work I am assigned and develop a passion for my place of employment. I currently work for Southern Regional Highway Safety (SRHSP). Here I am given the opportunity to not only work with the public but also the Beckley Fire Department and the Beckley Police Department. I believe myself to be personable therefore making communication easy with the variety of individuals that I come in contact with on the profession and public levels.

Beaver Coal Company provided me many great experiences. I started working as the front desk receptionist and residential lease manager. In this position, I was able to properly resolve complaints and issues and learned to work with the QuickBooks program keeping track of lease payment on hundreds of properties. I soon moved up to executive assistant where I was able to maintain special projects, work with marketing companies and start the conversion of paper files to electronic files.

I would be pleased to receive an interview for this position and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Tiffany Wolfe.

Work Experience

Southern Regional Highway Safety Program, Highway Safety Assistant 340 Prince St.

Beckley, WV 25801

November 2013 – Current

The SRHSP provides additional funding to law enforcement agencies in seven counties to increase patrols and checkpoints. Their goal is to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities, therefore making the roads safer. They also educate students and the general public on highway safety issues via schools, hospitals, safety fairs and special events. My job at SRHSP is to keep the database for our seven counties up to date, make sure departments are filling out paperwork correctly and submitting it in a timely manner. I set up booths to disburse information regarding child passenger safety, impaired driving, seat belt safety, and distracted driving. The best part of my job is the hands on training that I provide to make people aware of how to properly install child safety seats. Mountain State University, Secretary to the Aviation Department & Administrative Assistant to Nursing Dept.

S. Kanawha St

Beckley, WV 25801

August 2010 - December 2012

The Aviation department at Mountain State University was not well known but was greatly appreciated by the students in the field. The goal of the Aviation department was not to teach individuals to be pilots but to better educate them in the airline industry, safety measures, and the mental and physical effects of flight. We collaborated with flight schools to better prepare their students for a position as a commercial pilot.

As the Aviation secretary, I was privileged to meet a variety of students and assist them with questions regarding the program, courses, and which classes they should take for the upcoming semester. I worked with flight schools, attended pilot job fairs to recruit students, assisted in course instruction and development, and tracked adjunct pay. I stayed with the program until the school was closed in December 2012.

While with the MSU Nursing department, I worked mostly the LPN to BSN distance learning students. My job was to keep the student files organized, prepare transcript data for the WV RN Board reports, gather all information for student board applications, and assist staff when needed. Diamond HealthCare Corporation for The Behavioral Health Pavilion of the Virginias, Executive Assistant

1333 Southview Dr.

Bluefield, WV 24701

March 2010 - August 2010

The Behavioral Health Pavilion (BHP) is an affiliate of Princeton Community Hospital. They have programs for adult and geriatric inpatient, traditional and structured outpatient, and partial hospitalization. The BHP also provides a 24 hour crisis and impatient referral hotline. I was hired as executive assist before the BHP was completely finished; therefore, I was privileged to be able to assist in the setup of the facility. I worked closely with the Director to maintain files and prepare reports, assist psychiatrist with paperwork, and fill in for the outpatient and front desk receptionist. I enjoyed my job thoroughly because I was able to interact with the patients but unfortunately the price of gas and the vehicle I had at the time were making the cost to get to and from work very difficult. Beaver Coal Company Limited, Executive Assistant/Project Manager 115 1 2 S. Kanawha St.

Beckley, WV 25801

June 2003 - February 2010

Beaver Coal Company is a land leasing company that owns approximately 50,000 acres of surface and mineral property in Raleigh County. The property is mostly used for lease of commercial, industrial, and residential developments but the company has also ventured into outdoor activities with the opening of Burning Rock Off-Road Park. Originally, I was hired to serve as front desk receptionist and residential lease administrator. I quickly moved up the ladder to Executive Assistant, Data Manager, and Project Manager

(Burning Rock). I maintained a client database in excel and QuickBooks, prepared presentations and ads in Power Point, worked with a system to create the numerous paper files to electronic files. Worked with marketing companies, resolved complaints and issues, and kept track of other employee’s projects and deadlines.
