Training and experiences in the afternoon class at MACC (Montcalm Area Career Center)

Passed state examination and recieved Certificate in July, summer of 2015

Renewed certification in July of 2017

Learned basic starter skills, techniques, and systems of working in the health occupation field necessary to get a job and start training for higher positions.

Certified in CPR and First aid

Can perform rescue breaths and chest compressions and provide basic on scene first aid.

Currently employed at:Brightstar of Northern Michigan---March 2018 to present -Work full time hours usually in 12 hour shifts. Primarily in home healthcare. Housework, meal prep, medicine reminders, and many other tasks.

Kalkaska Memorial Health Center--- December 2017 to April 2018 Full time Certified Nursing Assistant in Long Term Care floors working lots of hours at all times of day and night. Volunteered for mandation frequently. On floor manager: Tina Stevens

Birchwood Tendercare--- July 2017 to January 2018 Full time Certified Nursing Assistant on the Rehabilitation floors working lots of hours at all times of day and night.

Sheridan Community Hospital--- Employed Per-diem as a Patient Care Technician. Flexible hours, working on Med Surg floor with post OP surgery patients and Swing Bed patients. Highly active work environment with sparse shifts and long hours.

Metron of Belding--- Hired into facility in January of 2017, due to schedule changes and distance currently searching for something closer to home and with a more flexible schedule. Update: No longer work at MOB, hospital opportunity taken. Ended employment in the beginning of April 2017.

Mackinaw city Motels--- June 2016-October 2016--- Live in Manager for Mackinaw city motels. Running the main office for all 7 motels, front desk receptionist, phone lines, breakfast room, and many other tasks. I handled many tasks and worked long hours.

Started working at Dimondale Nursing Care Center on the 23rd of March as a CNA, working hard and building strong team connections with my coworkers as I developed a good work relationship and personal connection with all of the residents that I worked hard to take care of.

CNA clinical training at Greenville Rehab Center---March 2014 to June 2014---Greenville, MI

After taking the full classroom course at Montcalm Area Career Center during my senior year of high school I had my hands on clinical’s at Greenville’s Rehab and Care Center where I was observed and checked off on my skills.

In Home Health Aide--- June 2013 to February 2014---privately paid to care for an elderly individual and be there to supply conversation and company.

Palo Race track (Mid-Michigan Race track May 2014 to October 2014---Palo, MI

Worked concessions and handled money while working at the race track. Also gained valuable skills. I was in charge of keeping my concessions stand stocked and making a detailed list every week of things that I was short on so that the order could be placed and the product could be available for the next weekend when it would be needed.

Mackinaw City Motels--- Summer of 2012--- Live in manager handling tasks from anywhere between housekeeping and laundry to room service. Front desk receptionist and cash handler, good at working with complicated computer systems, managong to stay organized and keep track of every one of over 200 rooms, and see that everything ran smoothly.
