To ensure all plant's Equipment are available all the time at bench mark Repair and Maintenance cost.

Ensure that all the work is carried out with best possible quality, in line with best engineering practices and following highest level of safety

Ensure compliance to the requirements of Integrated Management systems and the Standard Operating Procedures and to the statutory requirements.

To Knowledge of SAP System raise PR, bills certify & service entry work.

• Maintenance planning and Execution:

1. Ensure that the job planned and is carried out in timely fashion

2. Coordinate with other departments so as to carry out the work effectively

3. Regularly monitor the performance of mechanical equipment and systems and take corrective actions wherever any deficiency is noticed

4. Ensure the safety procedures and permit to work system in implemented effectively.

5. Show high degree of responsiveness and urgency to attend to any problems and troubleshooting.

6. Take full ownership of the jobs carried out by contract personnel and by vendor’s personnel and supervise them to achieve required quality of work.

7. Update the Standard Operating Procedures whenever there is a change or new equipment/process is added.

8. Carry out Hazard and Risk assessment of the Mechanical Maintenance facilities and take corrective measures to ensure that there is adequate control mechanism to control the risk and prevent any type of incident.

9. Contribute towards completion of Capital projects for timely and within budget implementation

.

• To Reduce Equipment failure and Troubleshooting:

1. To analyze the Break Down cases for effective remedy.

2. Root cause analysis using tools such as why why analysis etc

3. Corrective actions to prevent recurrence of the problem

4. Planning and execution of Preventive maintenance activities to ensure zero slippage from preventive maintenance program. PPM plan should cover all equipment and should be as per vendor recommendations/best engineering practices.

5. Predictive maintenance techniques should be employed wherever applicable for early detection of faults and to prevent breakdowns.

6. Recommend replacement of the equipment and parts when it’s useful life is over.

7. Maintain Equipment History and analyze repetitive failures.

8. Maintain the repository for the documents related to each equipment, like drawings, equipment manuals, data sheet of all equipment, manuals and maintenance procedures, spares list, safety precautions, and other related information. Such information should be readily accessible to the operating personnel.

• To maintain the spare part, Consumables and maintenance cost within the budget:

1. To review the consumption of spares on monthly basis and reorder the critical spares immediately when it is consumed or below the recommended stock level.

2. To select quality spares from reputed manufacturers and of the right specification for the Mechanical equipment.

3.To Evaluate technical bids from suppliers.

4. Monitor the Maintenance cost on regular basis. Keep track of work hours of the contractors.

5. Regular inspection of stores spares to maintain the healthy condition of spares and accurate stocks of critical spares.

6. Make requisition of spares in timely fashion so that critical spares stock is always maintained.

7. Carry out inspection of spares and equipment when it is received from vendor to check the quality of received parts.

8. When buying any new equipment, ensure that it’s spares are identified and procured, preventive maintenance plan is in place, people are trained to use and maintain the equipment

• People Development and belongingness of the maintenance team:

1. Improve the belongingness of the maintenance team

2. Ensure proper training is given to all employees on the work to be performed and the maintenance work is done only by trained personnel.

3. Providing on the job and outside training for multi skill and to improve functional skills. Encourage participation in troubleshooting and new projects.

4. Familiarity with Analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem solving techniques.

5. Encourage the team members to participate effectively in suggestion scheme and best practices.

6. To monitor the team members performance for retraining whenever required.

• To study and find out scope for energy and environment saving:

1. Monitor the Energy Consumption on periodic basis

2. While selecting new equipment, install equipment with high energy efficiency.

Job Responsibilities in Pharmaceutical Industries:

Plan and to maintain engineering parameters like steam, compressed air, cooling tower results, Screw chiller. VAHP and Heat Reactivated Air Dryer. etc.

To plan & carry out periodically preventive maintenance of utility equipment like compressed air system. Screw chiller, Boiler, AHU, Dust collector, Pumps.

To plan & carry out URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ of utility equipment Document Prepare and Execution

To prepare monthly expenses provision, Utility consumption, and monthly and daily report

To prepare utility SOP as per c GMP requirement, training to all concern person for respective SOP.

To maintain documents like utility SOP, To Preventive maintenance record of AHU, Boiler, VAHP, Screw Compressor, Air compressor, Air drying unit, Dust collector, water system, Dehumidifier, Documentation and Record of utility parameters.

Up gradation of existing system likes VAHP, cooling tower, Air handling unit and Dust Collector System.

To Maintain critical spares for Boiler, Air Compressor, Screw Compressor, AHU, and Filters and others process pharma Equipment’s.
