In April 2011 I have completed my B.E (Mechanical) and also completed my MBA (Operations and Systems) in June 2015. This has given me a range of practical capabilities that will meet the needs of this role.

After completing my B.E, I have started my career as GET in Rotork Controls Ind Pvt Ltd in June 2011.I have worked with Rotork for about 4.5 years as a Production – Engineer. Currently working in Magna Automotive Ind Pvt Ltd as a Production-Engineer. My responsibilities in this role included of driving a team of members to achieve the production target with quality and specified manpower budget. With regard to my ability to meet the specific requirements of this job:

Lean Manufacturing: Worked for around 7.5 years with Lean manufacturing principles, also been a part for the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles in Rotork Controls Ind Pvt Ltd.

Manpower Management: Worked with union for about 4.5 years and currently driving a team 150+ operators in a shift basis from Dec 2015 till date.

Leadership skills: Certificate in MBA helps me too motivate employees to achieve the production target as per company standards.

JOB OVERVIEW

Managing a team of 150+ producers in the shop floor in the attainment of a manufacturing schedule, and to manufacture of the highest quality products within defined cost standards. Responsible for chain of activities from scheduling of components for products and converting to finished good as per customer requirement.

• Driving a team of 150 producers/3 Team Leaders to achieve the standard output with quality.

• Manpower planning depends on customer requirement & Material availability.

• Attending Factory top 5 meeting at 9am on daily basis.

• Conducting Production review / LCS rejection meeting with line leaders on daily basis.

• Attending LRR review meeting for new program Nissan XBB side door latch, Ford - B562, L02B and TATA KITE 5.

• Verification of SETUP / CLRI check sheet is filled by the producers in all assembly lines.

• Ensuring the standard cycle time is carried out by the producers in all work stations.

• Ensuring Line rejection is updated in the shift end by the End of Line Testing producers.

• Ensuring Zero rejection is carried out in all the assembly lines.

• Maintaining the departmental manual as per ISO/TS16949 system.

• Coordinating with Maintenance/M.E to rectify the Break Down issues on Die Casting and Moulding to achieve the production target on daily basis.

• Verification of production log note (Nissan, B562, XBA, X11M, M2M & HONDA Cable, and Welding) after shift ends.

• Verification of break down and updating of down time chart for Nissan, B562, XBA, X11M, M2M & HONDA Cable, and Welding.

• Closing the open work orders for (Nissan, B562, XBA, X11M, Cable, and Welding) in SAP after the shift production.

• Updating Production loss and OEE for all machines/assembly lines.

• Raising scrap in SAP and get it approved from the concern person.

• Calculating MPS on a month basis as per customer requirement and material availability.

• Raising ticket in SAP to IT department for ERP related issues.

• Updating KPI for both producers and machines (Die Casting, Molding, Welding, Rod bending).

• Ensuring whether 5S and Discipline is carried out in the entire shop floor.

• Ensuring whether PPE is followed by the operators working in machines.

• Imparting the culture of TPM and TQM principles to the producers in the shop floor. SIGNIFICANT HIGHLIGHTS

• Being a member in new launching program of XBB side door latch (Renault Kwid), TATA KITE 5, L02B (Nissan Sunny), B562E (Ford).

• Given an idea by reducing one manpower in the cable assembly line by combining the Insertion and Bird gauge forming process which has been implemented.

• Reduced the rework percentage below 1% by implementing Check sheet in all assembly lines.

B. ROLES – ROTORK CONTROLS IND PVT LTD

ASSEMBLY

• Driven a team of 25 producers to achieve the standard output with quality.

• Ensured the readiness of the sub-assemblies (PCB, Bunk Assy, E- Cover Assy, and Motor Assy) for tomorrow’s production.

• Assisted for trouble shooting some minor reworks (Actuator not working, Continuity problem) through the operator’s communication before giving it to the Testing Department.

• Ensured the rework percentage 2% is carried out in the shop floor on daily basis.

• Raised NCR for the rejected components detected in the line on a daily basis. PRODUCTION PLANNING AND CONTROL

• Coordinated with inter departments for entering product lead time with respect to CQLT in an ERP system.

• Running the shortage reports, WIP reports and releasing the Job Schedules on a daily basis.

• Effective follow up of buyers to provide materials on a FIFO basis for daily production.

• Setting up daily, weekly and monthly production plans for K-Range, IQ-Range, G-Range and RFS.

• Working in stock checking activity to maintain the variance within the limit on yearly basis. PROCESS DOCUMENT OWNER

• Coordinated with engineering department for delivering the process instructions as per IEC 800**-**-**** standards for ATEX License.

• Modifying the process instructions along with engineering if necessary for smooth production.

• Maintained the SOP/PI manuals as per ISO standards and Rotork Board standards. SIGNIFICANT HIGHLIGHTS

• Being a member in a team to dissolve the 35 years union along with the management.

• Played a major role in setting up IQ-Range assembly line in our new plant.

• Implemented a Single Piece Flow –Lean Manufacturing in assembly line.

• Analyzed and implemented a new process instructions for E-Cover and S/M cover potting by procuring an industrial furnace.
