As a Waitress and food runner some responsibilities included: Customer service, taking orders, preparing food items and running the foods to the customers. I was also responsible for bussing tables and cleaning kitchen prep and dining areas.

As a CSA some responsibilities included: Customer service, computer and register operations, cleaning and organizing the store, and changing signage while lifting and climbing ladders.
JULY 2015- CURRENT
Food and Beverage Supervisor /Wawa, Long Neck DE.
During my experience at Wawa, I climbed up four positions within almost three years of employment. I was hired as a CSA then promoted to a Lead CSA, then to a night supervisor, and finally to a Food and beverage supervisor. I have obtained my ServSafe certification and my passion for food safety and science through my experience at Wawa. At Wawa I am expected to lead shifts, count money, hold keys, be knowledgeable in all fields (including: specialty beverage, deli, Sizzli station, register, coffee, facilities, and have fuel court knowledge). I also speak with other stores and customers daily and attend frequent scheduled training per my manager positions. This job really enhanced my manager material and requires that I am emotionally and physically prepared for tough customers, or insubordinate associates. Through this job, I have been able to learn how to deal with tough and stressful situations in a positive manor resulting in positive outcomes.

Though I only worked at BBW for the holiday season, I was responsible for many sign changes, cleaning and organizing the shop, register operation, and a lot of heavy lifting and ladder climbing. This job allowed me to adjust to stressful working conditions and handling difficult individuals.

I am currently working a second job as a server at the Millsboro Pizza Palace. There I am in charge of ensuring an enjoyable customer experience for dining individuals. I take orders and ensure the accuracy and safety of customer meals and drinks. I am to limit the alcohol consumption of individuals and maintain a clean and fully stocked area.

I am currently in school for my food science degree. Last semester I achieved a place on the Dean’s List and on the school wide honor roll with a GPA of 3.5. Through my schooling I was able to earn my certification in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and my Food defense certification. As I continue, I will be able to earn more certifications to help me within my field along with my Associates degree.
