MARTA Violations App, Georgia State University

Software Engineering Semester Project (Fall 2017)

o Worked on a team to create a Java-based application for both users and MARTA employees - for users to report rule infractions and for employees to confirm infraction instances, giving the users points for redeemable discounts. o Learned mySQL to create multiple databases, developed a mini-program to simulate running trains, managed submitted violation reports. o Project based on real-time projects in the industry, learned project management and business skills.

Cosmic Radiation Research Team, Georgia State University Student Research (Spring 2017)

o Led a team to investigate a correlation between cosmic radiation and pilot cancer rates. o Analyzed global data, wrote and executed a SIR algorithm to analyze trends within experimental designated pilot groups.

o Report concluded that cosmic radiation is likely cause to cancer among veteran pilots, but needed further investigation.

Aerospace Undergraduate Research, Georgia Institute of Technology Student Research (Summer 2016)

o Generated a CFD model of a select airfoil using Pointwise and Fluent. o Analyzed airfoil mesh for pressure trends and other atmospheric variables. o Confirmed that experimental data was within acceptable deviation of the given ideal. EXPERIENCE:

Home Depot #Codeathelon (September 2018):

o Part of a team that created a user-driven project creation / sharing Android app, which allowed users to create ‘bundles’ from existing Home Depot products, store them on their account, and assigned each ‘bundle’ a shareable link for sharing with other users. o Set up, operated and populated a local database with material, project, user and other relevant metrics, and wrote Object classes for implementation into the Android app. MARTA Hackathon (September 2017) – FIRST PLACE:

o Part of a team that created a decision-making app that analyzed user’s current location, destination and timeframe, and determined the fastest possible transportation route for user to take. If MARTA was not the fastest route to take, the app would suggest vehicular transportation and / or call Lyft for the user. o Handled the data processing of given yearly, monthly and weekly data, applied status effects such as weather, traffic, and other route-delaying variables to create a visual and boolean set of solid decisions (YES or NO) for the app’s machine learning. HackGSU (March 2017):

o Part of a team that created a mobile hot-potato game app, where users could play against AI or host multiplayer game sessions with other users. o Wrote Object classes in Android Studio, contributed with error testing and app debugging.

MARTA Hackathon (February 2017):

o Part of a team that sought to monetize various MARTA data and derive new insights into business based on bus and rail information.

o Responsible for data interpretation and reformatting of monthly data, created a map of all bus routes for the next stage of our workflow to use. HackGSU (October 2016):

o Led a team to create a heatmap based security system that would send alerts to the user if any intrusions or unexpected values were measured. o Wrote a script that read in data from our Edison sensor and created a heatmap picture of the environment around sensor.
