Generalist duties and sole human resources support for several physician locations in the
Oklahoma City metropolitan area and in Ponca City. Responsible for all aspects of the
company’s human resources management including recruiting and hiring, performance
improvement planning, benefits management, employee engagement, development,
and team building, working directly with physicians, managers and employees.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER, GOVERNAIR, LLC 2005 – 2014
Responsible for all aspects of the company’s human resource management,
including maintaining payroll and personnel records, recruiting and hiring, benefits
management, maintenance of recognition and discipline programs. Provided input in
to employment policies shared by Canadian and US companies owned and operated
by the business operations group. Worked with departmental personnel to write job
descriptions, training programs, and benchmarking within the business unit. Supervised
the administration of all FML, STD, LTD, etc. Handled all communications with
Oklahoma Employment Security Commission and the Oklahoma Department of
Human Services. Worked with IT and payroll to successfully upgrade Payroll/Time and
Attendance software from a server-based system to a web-based system. Served as the
primary liaison with Character First/Strata Leadership in the implementation of character-
based training and employee-recognition programs. Handled all employee communications
and required training, such as harassment training or non-violence in the workplace training.
Member of corporate team implementing and testing custom corporate-wide HRIS system
(Workday).
SALES SUPPORT COORDINATOR, GOVERNAIR, LLC 1997 – 2005
Supplied support for Sales and Applications Engineers designing custom HVAC
units for commercial applications by collating and maintaining all unit specific
sales and shipping information. Supported sales management staff by furnishing
sales information and graphs detailing company sales department performance.
Assumed office management duties. Arranged sales trips and trips for incoming
sales prospects on units valued from $10,000 to several million dollars.
MARKETING SPECIALIST 1990 – 1997
Worked with a team of engineers to gather, design, layout and proof marketing materials for independent rep network. Distributed promotional and technical materials to the rep network. Handled all customer and rep visit travel details, making their trips as comfortable and informative as possible.
