Benefits improvement projects require a robust and detailed communication plan which was used successfully during my tenure with Exterran as we successfully outsourced U.S. benefits operations to a vendor. The project was fully completed on time, on budget and with the seamless transition for the employee population affected. The spin project, the formation of Archrock from the bedrock of Exterran, was an awesome project that involved every employee of both companies. The operations of the project were often compared to the army needed to build the pyramids of Ancient Egypt and the change management efforts were well organized and orchestrated. A massive team was required to pull of this endeavor. What a fabulous learning opportunity for a future change management professional in the making.
