Experienced Manufacturing Engineer / Project Leader successful in implementing major capital equipment projects from justification through production release, utilizing internal and external supplier base. Manufacturing Engineer, Parker-Hannifin Corporation (4/08 – 5/17) Assembly Mfg Engineer responsible for daily production support in the Valve Assembly Department including product testing & equipment trouble shooting, new product development, process improvements, Plant Mfg Engineer responsible for supporting the Lean Plant Transformation project in the Richland Facility. Mfg Engineer responsible for the daily CNC machining production support activities including machine and tooling process improvements. Toolroom supervisor to provide support to plants with related tooling, fixtures, and special machines. Project leader for the implementation and system administrator for Computerized Maintenance System for the Otsego facility. Manufacturing Engineer, Behr Industries Grand Rapids MI (10/07 – 1/08) Program Manufacturing Engineer for the Chrysler Automotive product lines. Responsible for all related process, equipment, and tooling for the interior trim assembly lines. Process improvements were related to product throughput, equipment uptime and reliability, process layout, and product quality.

Manufacturing Engineer, Impact Fab, Inc. Holland, MI. (3/06 – 7/07) Project Leader responsible for implementing and managing the Pure Water Jet cutting division. Project included purchasing, installation, and managing the entire department. Division supported customers that included Haworth, Herman Miller, and Steelcase. Additional responsibilities included Machine Programming, Quality Engineering, Material Planning, and Production Supervisor.

Industrial Engineer, Manpower Professional Grand Rapids MI (9/05 – 3/06) Contract with Bishop Steering at Autocam facility to develop process and equipment layout improvements to maximize throughput, minimize waste, and reduce floor space using Lean/TPS principles. Project goals included labor cost reductions and cost per piece to customer.

Manufacturing Engineer III, Haworth, Inc. Holland, MI (2001 – 2005) Projects & Expertise

PREMISE Core Line Panel Stacker – Project Leader

Responsible for the project justification, equipment design concept, supplier sourcing, and build release through to run-off approval. Benefits included a crew reduction of two positions and an ergonomic improvement by eliminating lifting of panels. PREMISE Panel AVK Insert Elimination – Project Leader Product cost reduction resulting in an improvement that allowed for the implementation of the Panel Stacker project. The two projects resulted in a combined savings of an estimated

$200K+ benefit by a component part elimination and crew size reduction. Project consisted of product design modifications to the roll form frame rail and new roll form cut-off tooling. Premise Stackable Pad Frame Staking Project – Project Leader Product redesign to eliminate a major field quality issue related to product fit and finish. Project consisted of redesigning the product frame for a tox lock assembly process. This was accomplished by designing, building, and installing a custom assembly machine for integration into the current manufacturing process. Project benefits achieved were a $250K product quality improvement and a $280K labor reduction through a cycle time improvement. Canadian Content Panel (Haworth Rexdale, Ontario) – Team Leader New product introduction project to start up the panel final assembly process in Haworth Rexdale Plant. Project responsibilities included equipment procurement, production systems logisitics, documentation and operator training through to production start-up. PFA (Panels Fabric Assembly) One Piece Flow Process – Co-Project Leader TPM project to develop a new panel assembly process to eliminate safety and ergonomic issues, set-up time reduction, crew size reduction, increase product throughput, and improve product quality. Results were the design, build, and installation of one automated fabric assembly line. Operators no longer were required to lift or flip panels, eliminated the use of the spline roll-in bar, setup time was reduced from 2 minutes to 20 seconds, crew size reduced from 13 to 11, throughput was same as current line with crew size of 13. Project received Haworth’s TPM site award for west Michigan.

Panels Plant Production Support – Manufacturing Engineer Panels Operations Team engineer responsible for the daily production support of the Panels Fabric Assembly department.
