Ability Summary

By applying skills, tools, and by networking with other professional obtained over 20+ years within the safety and HR Field I was effectively able to lower each of the CSA BASIC scores below the threshold limits within each BASIC as established by CSA. I was also able to assist with bring down the number of MSHA and OSHA violations, as well as limit the severity of any citation that had been received. I was also able to maintain a level of compliance and customer satisfaction within ISNet World, BROWZ and Avetta to maintain a positive customer relation. Employment History

Compliance Manager

08/1998 - 03/2018 Bridgestone America Tire Operations 200 4th Avenue S., Nashville, TN Checked the FMCSA Portal daily to identify any driver that may have received a CSA violation during the week. Work with the local store manager of any driver that did receive a CSA violation to identify the root cause for the violation, disciplinary action that needs to be taken and re-training as needed to prevent re-occurrence of violation. Communicate information weekly to all locations concerning all commercial motor vehicle inspections that occurred during the week and monthly to the Corporate office. Ensure that all drivers maintain an active driver file within JJ Keller and that each team member who is required to have a driver file has a file and that the file is update to date and in compliance. Any file found to not in compliance, work directly with the Store Manager or other desiganted person at that location as necessary to identify causes for file deficiencies and assist with bringing the file into compliance. Ensure that an Annual Review is completed for all drivers per DOT Regulations and that all current and new driver meet the minimum driver qualification as outlined in Bridgestone's Driver Program. Work with all location to investigate and collect all necessary information as it pertains to any Auto, General Liability, Wheel Off, Loose Wheel or Retread Failure Claim. Report all necessary documentation concerning a claim to Bridgestone's Claims Department for processing. Work with both the customer and our group to bring the claim to closure.

Perform in depth OSHA, MSHA and DOT safety compliance audits on locations as needed based on number of work place injuries, auto claim and or general liability claim information and/or MSHA, CSA and OSHA citations or as requested by the Store Manager or Corporate Management Team to determine compliance level with both Federal, State, and Corporate policies, rules and regulations. For any areas of opportunities identified during these audits work directly with the Store Manager or other designated personnel to correct these issues. Track the progress of these action items until items needing attention have been completed. Review, develop and implement safety and CSA written program and training plans as needed at both that the corporate and store levels to address any deficiencies and/or changes in government regulations. These changes may also be needed to better meet a customers requirement while performing work on their sites. These changes were made on a case by case basis to better meet the customer's requirements within one of the three third part grading companies {ISNet World, BROWZ and Avetta} that we worked with. Work with the third party Grading Companies such as ISNet World, BROWZ and Avetta to insure that we maintain a satisfactory grade for each customer within the system. For those companies that we cannot reach a satisfactory grade work with that customer to obtain an exemption to their requirement that we cannot meet. Work with all locations as need in completing a 7000-1 form and submitting to MSHA in the event of an accident within the required time frame. Assist in completing an investigation for any injury occurring on a site governed by MSHA to determine the root cause of the accident.

Provide Corporate information concerning monthly dashboard items as they pertain to CSA and JJ Keller driver file compliance information which is communicated to all location during monthly calls. Collect and calculate quarterly man-hours from each location and report the information to MSHA in their quarterly production reports.

Assisted individual stores with addressing some of their HR Related issues as required by both the Store and/or Corporate request.
