KNOWLEDGE OF PRINCIPLES, CONCEPTS, METHODOLOGIES AND PRACTICES IN A MAJOR SECURITY SPECIALIZATION OR MASTORY OF GENERAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION PROGRAMS:

*Coordinate all communications to applicants, employees, supervisors, and contract technical representatives (COTR) for investigation submissions and requirements for any position as described in the OPM Position Designation Tool (PDT)

*Provide support in initiates background investigations via Electronic Questionnaires for Investigation Processing (e-QIP) System; ensure all documents and forms are completed in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM)

*Ensures that Security clearance are kept up-to-date with Agency policies

*Provide support filing required security records required by the NISPOM

*Brief Security briefing weekly/monthly

*Coordinated and drove security clearance process for all new Foreign Service Officer Candidates. Worked with candidates, human resources staff, security and field investigation personnel to coordinate processing of Top Secret clearances for all incoming personnel. Managed the process from the initiation of a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) into the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (eQIP) system, field investigations and the scheduling of fingerprinting and Security Interviews through completion of final adjudication of clearance. Created and maintained tracking system that provided up to date status information on all pending security clearance investigations, creating transparency and significantly reducing delays in the process. Advised Office of Security and Human Capital and Talent Management leadership and staff on security protocols and procedures pertaining to the Foreign Service
