CATHOLIC SCHOOLS – ELEMENTARY – ST. JEAN DE BRÉBEUF, BRADFORD, ON - 2009 TO 2016 (PRINCIPALS: JAMES MURPHY, ANNALYSA VERANO)

Served as Chair for St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic School Council and instituted regular communications with all parents as well as composed the by-laws and code of ethics for council. Proposed and applied for the school to receive annual grants from the Breakfast for Learning Program, enabling the school to provide a healthy breakfast to all students free of charge (total funds raised:

$12,000). Initiated a coordinated effort with local businesses and farmers to allow for continual funding for this worthy program to run at the school.

Organized and coordinated numerous fundraisers (totaling well over

$50,000), enabling the school council to support various initiatives that support student learning, among them, a 3 year program that would allow the school to purchase classroom laptops for the students, SMART Boards, school trips, library books, new sound system for school, gym equipment, music program support, arts program support, school bus costs for outings, choir, bullying prevention programs, and much more.
